    Hi everyone,
After posting on here last night about my fothcoming trip to Brent Cross today to do some Boosting (my 3rd Boots store since I got back from my holiday on Thursday night - I must be addicted!!!) or should I say just went to Brent Cross to get my youngest DD some school shoes, I was really pleased to see that they had self service tills. I am a now a wizz at the tescos SS tills and go on the tills sometimes for my job too so after finding that this store had the No7 lash Extensions mascara for £5.25 (I got it price checked as showing full price) and also saw the old pink No7 GWP box and the more recent GWP palette I thought I would check out the SS tills to see if they came up free and so armed with TS long hair intensive conditioner (£5.99) as they had run out of the pink serum and some TS blonde conditioner (£4.49), a TD gradual tan moisuriser (£5.50) and a mitchum spray deodorant and roll on (I finally got six to a page to print after reading a earlier page on here with the link to it - thanks alot whoever it was) I headed over to them. My two younger DD's were keen to put my stuff through and when I tried the palette it was £9.50 so I decided I didn't want it so clicked on the button to remove it and thought I was doing fine but it asked for an overide. The SA came over and started to mess about with it but she was having problems and deleted the wrong stuff and when she tried to put my TS voucher in she couldn't get it in and after spending 5 minutes trying to get it in she succeeded but because I picked up a pink No7 GWP box which scanned at £3 but didn't realise that it wouldn't work with the pink No7 tillspit that I tried to put in after she then got annoyed and said she would have to start it all over again. This meant that she had to open up the whole till to get my TS voucher out!! Opening up the till must have messed it up and it wouldnt recognise items being put in the bags and she got annoyed with it and took my shopping out and gave it to a normal till which I wish I had gone to in the first place!!!! I was also told by her and the next SA that I couldn't use the mitchum vouchers in the store because the mitchum is already on offer (although they let me use the Boots TD 200 points, the No7 250 points and the TS one!!!) so because I just wanted to get out I just paid for everything and left.
Sally06 - I know you are back from your holiday too and I just wondered if you had tried the mitchum vouchers in our local at all?
On a high note after a pretext of looking for the Apple Store and my DH and DD's went back to the car I went back to Boots and brought another No7 Lash extensions with my No7 pinkie for 25p and a TD toner for nothing but another 200 points and used my points to pay for a reduced Anna Sui Flight of Fantasy perfume - 75ml for £19.95 and my points have gone down to 225!!! No signs of any mags in here and I know my local had quite a few when I went in on Friday so I guess I will have to go back to my local to get a couple more before the vouchers and skincare till spits run out!!!
Sorry for the long post - just needed a little rant and to warn anyone lese thinking of tryng the SS tills!!!

When you scan a coupon yourself and put it in the coupon slot and its still saying insert your coupon then blow into the coupon slot, then the computer senses something has been put in. - A nice SA in tesco taught me that!:D

& pffft (or should that be PAH!) to the people giving you strange looks. They haven't got a clue have they :p

Yes but imagine the sight...woman sitting on bench tearing back pages of out boots mags and popping in envelopes whilst she stuffs her sons face with raisins to keep him quiet, whilst looking over her shoulder at security guard inside entrance to boots...

Now come on, no wonder I got looks :rotfl:

Forgot to mention, I saw some nice Dead Sea Source gift sets on clearance for 4.50 and I think 3. The 4.50 one had three large size body butters, and I think the cheaper one had a body butter, body wash and maybe a bath puff? They were both in cardboard boxes. I resisted as I have several body butters still from Poundland and the ones that came in Marie Claire, but these looked very nice!
  • Looks like .com have started to slowly put the xmas stuff on: http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=49817&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051 think it will go to 50% and 3 for 2 like loads did last year, whipping us all into a frenzy? :rotfl:

  • Today was going so well, until my friend went to get stuff.
She got 2 mitchum deoderants (as well as other stuff) and handed over the vouchers, they they decided to say she was comitting fraud as they weren't proper vouchers and they'd been photocopied, which was illegal, blah blah. Totally humilitated her. She won't even go back into Boots now! Talk about how to put someone off!
