Can anyone help with my predicament? In April our 0% offer was running out so we e-mailed to cancel, we were duly contacted by phone and offered a further 6 months of 0% only on balance transfers. We obviously began to take advantage of this by transferring money from all over, especially when Egg let us increase our credit limit. We were very surprised to then learn that we had been getting charged a 'merchandise interest' charge. Upon enquiring we were informed that we must have mis-understood the original phone call {which wasn't recorded} and they were quite correct to implement this charge. This has taken nearly 3 months to sort out and we are still being charged every month {total so far-£197.80} Does anyone out there have any experience of this type of thing with Egg, if so is there a solution? We are now unfortunately cancelling the account but will we get the money back? Who knows! :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:
