Hello everyone!
I've not been on here for a couple of days because I've been a hideous snot monster sat with a tissue rammed up each nostril for 3 days.
on the mend today and back in serious MSE mode.
Got my wage slip to find £400 extra this month :T
My mileage claim has been processed early AND back pay from he last wage rise, woohoo.
I'm feeling very proud of my culinary exploits today too.....
I was in the Co-Op yesterday to get milk and saw a nice big plump fresh 2kg chicken with todays sell by date reduced to £2.99
bought it, roasted it and have carved it all up (with a furry audience who seemed to think that audience participation was required)
So far it is all sorted out for
1, roast chicken dinner tonight
2, chicken & mushroom omelette for my lunch
3, chicken salad sandwiches for hubby & kids lunch
4, bones, onions, black pepper and root veg are now simmering for one of my legendary homemade chicken broths!
5, chicken & mushroom korma for me & my sis tomorrow
It's amazing how far a chicken can go isn't it?
How is everyone, what did I miss?
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -

Oh, I forgot the 5th thing - I cut a recipe out of this week's Closer magazine for a low fat chicken & mushroom korma which I'll be making for me & my sis tomorrow night.
She's coming down to the Myrtle Park music festival with me on Sat all day (my treat - she just lost her job:eek: )
I booked today and tomorrow off work, glad I got the cold out of the way so I'll be ok for this weekend!

I've just had a bit of an odd blast from the past and it's made me realise how carp my life was 15 months ago.
2 days before I was made redundant from my old job (through choice because of the Cruella situation), a job was rushed through the clearing committee and a lovely manager who knew what I'd been through basically said 'this is yours if you want it'. At the time, my head was so mashed with all I'd taken from Cruella, I put every obstacle in the way to make it look as if I wasn't suitable to ensure that I'd escape from her and partly I didn't think I was suitable because I'd had 10 months of being told how rubbish I was. (I wasn't - as 6 senior managers testified in my grievance)
Anway, 15 months on........the job has come back up again. I was looking on the site because I know my friend who has just come back from travelling is trying to get back into the organisation and I saw it there.
With my head much more mended and without the fear of being told I had to take it when all I wanted to do was escape, I've re-read the job description and realise, with some sadness that , yes, I could easily have done the job.
I now feel quite sad because
a) my head was such a mess that I was willing to turn down an opportunity to stay in employment on a good-ish salary (lower band but I would have been protected for 2 years) just so I could escape Cruella 2 days later
b) she was such a nasty piece of work that she reduced me to virtually nothing.
I remember crying with fear after being offered it that they would make me stay......."Stay Wonky":D
