uninstall issue with tune up utilities 2008

    just delete all the shortcuts and the file from program files and just ignore it in add and remove.

    yeah i normally wouldn't mind doing that however, everytime the memory optimizer was set to run it keeps giving me a popup and it's happening frequently

    I really wouldnt bother with that memory optimizer, I tried on a few computers and it made no difference at all that I could see (It can be turned off you realise!)

    lol yes i do, however i can't even get into the bloody program to turn it off!

    Install CCLEANER if you havnt already. You should be able to disable the memory optimiser from starting up within that.

    the 3rd option down lets you stop programs from starting up. (Underneath the registry bit) ~ (actually theres 2 options, uninstall and START UP)

    yeah i know, i have disabled it on startup ages ago. i've also tried uninstalling it via the prog but no luck.
    it's a really nasty one

    I assume youve unticked it on ccleaner startup BEFORE you tried uninstalling yeah?
