Here's what I've done so far....

1. Add/Remove progs.....get error 1721 message.
2. Delete from program files....removed but still showing up in Add/Remove.
3. Googled the error and found and tried the suggestion by microsoft but to no avail........ http://support.microsoft.com/kb/891985

Download and install it again. Then run its 1 fix click and try uninstalling.

I've also had probs with removing tuneup...still got most of it hanging around on the kid's pc...says a file is missing, so tried to download & install again, but....part of re-installing is to uninstall the old version, which it can't do 'coz trhere's a file missing !!! It can be a persistent little b*gger, still don't have it sorted :(

yeah, it's really annoying as i just wanna get rid of it now. I think one can do it by editing the registry but i dont wanna go poking around there, unless guided by an expert of course

Microsoft mention it but looks a bit convoluted.
No probs when I uninstalled last month...add/remove then search for odd files/delete then ccleaner.

please refer to my first post...i have tried that already but it doesn't work.

when going to add/remove it goes through the whole motion of removing then i get error 1721 and it stops and says a fatal error. i can't seem to get any further than this. i ahve tried googling it but to no avail as yet
