I just realised I bought andrex yesterday out of habit, I must resist now I know they are a complete con! So glad I didn't spend ages on this comp, but feel for those that did.

I realised some years ago that Andrex is garbage. Literally. It's just a bunch of loosely-bonded dust. Ask any man who blows his nose with the stuff and comes away with a santa beard.

I now buy the Greek stuff from LIDL. It's so popular they've rebranded it as 'Floralys'. Highly recommended.

p.s. Did Andrex really only award 11 prizes? That's criminal. People must have wasted many hours on them!

are we organising a list to send to watchdog? I really think we should, I can't believe they only awarded 11 prizes from all of those advertised

  • Afternoon all,

I sent an e-mail to watchdog yesterday copying the cheats in so they can see my threat wasn't an idle one.

Like the idea of a big mail going to Watchdog and I'd happily send my e-mail on to add weight to this ongoing saga.

Hope Andrex are reading this thread via cistolic's link to see what we think of them! Happy reading Andrex!

Wow a total of 1.2% of the prizes awarded, generous to the last. There must be some rules, guidelines or laws somewhere that say this type of unfair competition cannot take place. As is the case with most advertising, you cannot make false claims about the product, it must be similar for the claims made to pull people into these types of comps.
i agree Watchdog need to be contacted and when I stop loosing the web page, I will be contacting them.
hopefully we will get somewhere at least to highlight this unfairness.
Trying my best to save where I can......
  • I'm happy to provide my details to add strength to a list.

I didn't play very often as the PC I was using at the time had problems with the site but I did spend some time on it. It's outrageous that they should award so few prizes.

  • Maybe it's even worth contacting the Advertising Standards Agency on this?

On their website it shows new regulations which came into effect in May 2008 covering unfair commercial practices which this could fall into...

There's an online complaints form - I'll drop them a line and see what happens...
