I simply cannot afford it...

hello.
I start college next week (and enrolement is tommorow, thurs. 28th). I was doing some research to train prices and it is £48.70. I simply cannot afford that. I have applied for countless jobs (awaiting a reply from Homebase at the moment) but if my situation dosen't change between now and next week, I am stuffed and I cannot go to college
What should I do?

If you get a YP railcard (£24 for a year) the tickets are £5.30 for a cheap day return. So £26.50 a week0

Its worth getting a Young Persons railcard and National Rail say its £8 a day also worth looking into a season ticket.Recently married and loving it x0

ahh that'll be okay actually. I'll be spending all my EMA on travel but whatever really. I 'can' take the bus to the station but..its a 15 minute walk so its nothing really...just up earlier haha.
Thanks guys. I've printed+filled the form out so I'll take that tommorow.
Another question while I am here:
I start next wednesday and I have been accepted from EMA (I got a NOE in the post which I take to them tommorow). Will i receive EMA next week because I'll probably be doign more then 10 hours or will it start the week after?0 -
if you get a yp rail card remember they dont always accept it. But before 10 the definatly will not and will charge you £8 minimum fare on the journey. (Thats each way, so a return will be £16 which is the price of a return from my town anyway)
I have to pay £80 a week to travel to university. And thats the cheapest/only way i can get there. Lucky I get a bursery so it covers around half on the travelling cost. I work for the entire summer to pay for the rest.
Apparently train prices are going up again
woe!
You could also try a seasonal ticket, they always accept them if you are in 5 days. You cna get either a weekly or a monthy.0 -
Amersham and Aylesbury aren't too far from each other. Doesn't a bus run between the towns?
I take it that £48.70 isn't per journey?! That is crazy prices if it is.0
