  • Yes, it probably will be "live" ... I'm very, very nervous. Now is not a good time to be preggers - no boyfriend (we split up because he doesn't want children ever!) and I've been in my job about 6 weeks (covering maternity leave) ... argh!

Off to work soon, interviewing students:rolleyes: Still no word about this new job. I am supposed to start next week and I have been forwarded my new timetable with all the courses for the new post on it but still nobody has actually confirmed that I have got the job:confused:

OR MENTIONED WHAT THE SALARY IS:mad:

Maybe I will hear something today:rolleyes:

How did the interview thing go?

Spud - he tried a few years ago and managed two months on patches. Sadly though he changed jobs and the first few weeks there wasn't much work for him so out of boredom he started smoking again. He tried champix last year and he didn't rate it, whereas I suceeded with champix no problems, but the smell of smoke has never bothered me until now.

DB - good luck. I remember doing mine and thinking 'nah, it'll be negative'. two minutes later only one pink line so I threw the test away. Ten minutes later I needed to (TMI ALERT) pee again and convinced I was a symptomatic diabetic just glanced in the bin at the test and nearly fell off the loo when I saw there were two pink lines. A quick scan of the instructions revealed I was supposed to wait FIVE minutes not two!

Moral of the tale: we can all pee on a stick but some tests show results in a minute and others in five; read the instructions ;)

Good luck and I hope the results is what you want it to be.

  • Morning all-work for me today as well but the dreaded 1-8 shift.
I'm going to approach my manager when he gets back from hols to see if I can bump my hours up to 39 p/w to bring in some extra money. We had a new starter and she did 2 days, went on hols and then hurt her back so is now on long term sick, I figure me doing an extra day will help whilst bumping up my wages as well!

    morning all!

Feeling chipper today, this is the day that i get my bumper pay packet and slay some debts once and for all... I'm about £700 up on a normal month.

Have just had to buy road tax, but bought a year, which is unheard of for me, normally 6 months at a time kinda gal!

Will be working on my list throughout the day... hoping by calling them i can maybe save a little and batter them down in full and final settlement kinda thing, although none of them are in arrears so don't know how that will work... worth asking though isn't it?

These are the debts i'll be paying off today in theory..... :j It amounts to more than my bonus actually so will be selective and may leave a little one for next month..... will see how it goes!
