DD - to be honest the smell of cig smoke makes me nauseous which means he can't come near me after he's had a cig. I also think it really helped him when I worked out that we'll need £100-£150 a week for childcare and at the moment we could scrape together *maybe* £60 a week.
Our aims over the next six months are:
1 - significantly reduce the debt repayments by paying off the visa bills - using all his overtime for it to save £165 a month. Until November 2009 we'll still have his Welcome Finance loan of £150 a month.
2 - reduce outgoings on groceries and save £10-£15 a week
3 - stop buying cigarettes and save £25 a week
It just means I might not be able to take as much maternity leave as I'd like:( or I could work out the 'cost' of living on my credit card for the last 13 weeks to see us through:eek:!!! I'm really selfish and want to take as much mat leave as I can so that means a big push to reduce debts now.

morning all!
First off, before I forget - Gemmzie - to answer your question from last night's thread - I've been lurking for a few months and have noticed the pregnancy bug is spreading ... that's probably what has put the idea in my head ... anyway, off to get a test at lunchtime
Today is a fairly good day - day 1 of coming off the anti-depressants :j I'm really excited about it. It's going to take a few weeks but it'll soon all be over and I can put the last couple of years way way behind me!
Right, well, I'm at work so should actually do some ... have no doubt I'll be popping on here plenty throughout the day thoughEvil debts: £500 Halifax One CC (16%), £500 Ulster Bank CC (19%), £500 Halifax OD (16%), £850 A&L OD (0%)

That's not selfish! You should take as much mat leave as you can - not many chances in life for spending such quality time with your offspring, or having such a long break from work!Evil debts: £500 Halifax One CC (16%), £500 Ulster Bank CC (19%), £500 Halifax OD (16%), £850 A&L OD (0%)

Good luck at lunchtime DB. Are you going to do the test, live on DFW like some of the others have
Hope Wayne manages OK Cat. I've never smoked, but my DH gave up 20 a day about 4 years ago, no patches, just did it cold turkey. He's now the typical ex smoker, and cant even stand the smell :TIs it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:
