First things first, you've missed the expedia offer - it was pulled yesterday ;) But to answer your question no they don't start in Australia, you were able to book from anywhere in the UK...bargain!

When has everyone booked for? I'm off on the 23rd Sept - but am curious to find out from anyone going before us if it all works without a hitch!

I am travelling to LAX on Thursday - I still haven't dared to book a hotel just in case (plus I have no idea of where I want to stay!).
    Gone ... or have I?
  • If you book these flights are the companies involved obliged to honour them at the prices shown and paid?
Im tempted to book via bestprice.com but dont want to end up having to pay the extra if its not honoured.

If you have booked through one of the Australian sites, you would need someone who specialises in Australian law to advise on that!

  • Well...I've just booked some bargain flights to Las Vegas, now got to wait and see if they are honoured or not. One question though that I couldn't find an answer to is being that on the way out I am being routed via Detriot and on the way back via LA, would my checked-in luggage get checked the whole way through the journey or not? Anybody know the answer?

On the way thought, you'll have to pick up your bags at Detroit and then load them onto a separate conveyor belt for onward travel (there will be someone there to help with this.

On the way back, your bags are checked right through!!

The credit card agreement is, of course, made under English or Scottish law (assuming it is issued by a British bank), including the famous s.75. Oh, this is so complicated. I hope it doesn't go tits up. I'll still won't believe it until I'm sat on the plane.

The question that I responded to was regarding whether the seller was obliged to honour the flights. The liability of the credit card provider is a separate issue.

I wasn't trying to contradict you, just bringing a bit more to the party.
