i have never paid extra for booking on line. Some train companies
charge a booking fee and card fee but you can avoid them altogether.
booking on line is far cheaper anyway. One way to Oxford £14. and back £18.00. Book at the station return was 4 times the price.
Careful sam, youre coming over a bit like a pompous 50 year oldmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Exactly what I was thinking. At 15 you shouldn't be so negative.0 -
HaHa a pompous 50 year old.. thats good.
I like how you judge this from a couple of comments I have made.
Do any of you have answers to my questions, rather than just criticizing what I have written.
Not very helpful, you turn to people for help and get criticized for everything I have wrote -- hmmmm.:j0 -
At 15 I shouldnt be so negative? No I should just accept poor service when you pay for a ticket.
No I don't think so.:j0 -

You wrote enough evidence!
See your above post! (no. 25).
I'll just expand on that. At 15 people have the sense to let things go. At 40/50 (the age varies) some become bitter and can't let anything go. Most of these people as they go over 60/70 gain sense again and don't spend life fighting over pettiness.0 -
When you found your seat was facing the wrong way, couldn't you just have swopped with someone else,as you don't seem shy?
Dislike the word "distressed",it's over-used and smacks of whinging . or "stress-free",which sounds too formal.Try to write the letter with less formal language and more simplicity, otherwise IMHO,it's an instant turn-off. Find a different word.Don't know whether you have a valid complaint.0 -
I guess theoretically I could have swapped.
But when people are settled and there were about 10 or so people arguing for their own seats, I didn't really feel I could suddenly ask to swap because I didnt like facing backwards when people were more concerned about actually getting their reserved seats... you see.
In general it was poor service, surely you agree with that.
Ohhhh anyway I have simply put in a complaint, I am not bothered about the outcome you see, I am more annoyed by the pettiness etc from some of the posters on here.:j0
