Samsung 50" Plasma Tv £699

Yes I am very jealous for my TV hasn’t got inert gases as so it will not wear over time, my TV wont get burn-in which is like an inbuilt recorder. I don’t get the lovely buzzing of the fan as tries to cool the over heating. My warranty won’t become void for not fixing it to the wall the exact way the manufacture would like. I wouldn’t get the lovely ghost shadows and flickering or the excitement of watching the individual pixel sells die. It’s a horrible fate that ones TV may out live them.

Defo jealous! How do you 'sell' your pixels that are dying as well? That's cruelty to pixels - rescue those poor little pixels quick by giving them the kiss of life.
Oh how I love to watch motion blur and many many dead pixels where the blacks look grey and I cannot make out anything in dark scenes when watching 40" LCD's. Oh that standard def looks perfectly blocky too and if I view it from an angle, the picture disappears - magic!
In all honesty, it's personal preference so to all - go out and compare 50" plasma to 40" LCD and decide for yourself on the shop floor. It's not up to anyone else to dictate what you must buy.
Plasma's (and LCD's) are improving all the time. The days of plasma with screen burn and having to be regassed have gone. LCD's are not so pixelated and motion blur is not as detectable. When you see a flat screen displaying graphics on "It Pays To Watch" - what is it - it's a Panasonic Plasma!

Its at £695.99 at Novatech at the moment, link below:

And you can get 3% back via Quidco on the ex-vat price.
And as for the plasma/lcd debate- just as good as each other. I have an LG 42', and do not have any problems with it like motion blur or whatever, my bro has a 50' plasma, and no screen burn. So just quit it with the bickering!:rolleyes:0 -

Lol. I'm truly impressed by your knowledge of plasma TV's.
All I can say to you is go stand in somewhere like Currys and compare the latest plasmas, especially the Panasonics, to any LCD on the market. 0 -

Never mind the LCD/Plasma debate - it is a Samsung so I wouldn't take it for nowt!
This is only my personal opinion of having viewed 3 different TV's owned by myself and members of my family.
The motion blur on my Samsung is truly dreadful.0 -

I have a Samsung LCD that I won in an online competition. It's not my first choice, (that would be a Panasonic plasma), but I find that both the HD and SD pictures on it are very good, apart from the shadowing on the live football. I won't keep it simply for that reason.
Mind you, I have discovered just what HD was invented for, whilst watching the Olympics. Women's beach volleyball.
