I wonder on what date, and for how much, Aldi will actually sell their MSI Wind = Advent 4211 clone which they give the snappy title of Medion Akoya Mini 10" NETBOOK E1210?
Now that looks good.....I guess it would be quite cheap aswell. Looks like it will be available on Thursday, but who knows, :rotfl:
The only problm is they dont have any specs on the website!Never knock on death's door, ring the doorbell and run away ..... he hates that :mad:0 -
It looks as though the Medion Akoya Mini 10" NETBOOK E1210 might now be available in Aldi on Sunday 7th September - but still no price at the time of typing!
However, MSI have put several spanners in the works in the shape of new and updated Wind models!0 -
Looking at the MSI it another Linux machine, which I really dont want. But with the Advent 4211 from PCWB and putting it through the dads company I could get it for £185ish due to getting the tax back.
That is if they ever get anymore in stock!!!Never knock on death's door, ring the doorbell and run away ..... he hates that :mad:0 -
The price of the http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/2867_7073.htm is £280. Forget it!0

So I have the Asus 901/XP in white, purchased from Toys'R'Us. I wanted a netbook without spinning hard-disk so it can take some hard knocks.
Rebuild the XP Home install using nlite to blow away the unwanted s/w and installed Office 2003.
Very impressed with it, 5+ hours battery life, usable screen/keyboard and great for browsing esp. with Google Chrome's efficient use of screen.0
