What's the latest on Vista as an OS?

after having mother-in-law phone us every 5 mins asking whether to allow things to happen on her computer, I turned off UAC next time we went visiting...I had installed her a good security suite and check the pc over every now and again, and was sooo fed up of the phonecalls. It's made all our lives easier without UAC.

I know that I like to be in control of what programs are doing on my computer, obviously you don't.
