Have most of the bugs been ironed out?

There have actually been very few issues with Vista, just a lot of uneducated opinions and bandwagon jumping. If you've got the hardware then it's a great operating system, especially the 64bit version.0

Installed Vista today and all is ok. Patched up and looking fine, easy to use. What bugs, I ran it last year and had no problems then.0

I think Chris Nowak has raised a serious point inasmuch as Vista was receiving a torrid press only a short time back. It all seems to have gone quiet so I guess most people are have little if any trouble with it now.0

Less issues and bugs with vista than I had with XP0

I found the Vista Ulitimate to be an excellent OS...especially if you get rid of the user account things that pops up everytime you try and do something (can be turned off in control panel)
main this is you need a pretty decent machine to run it to its full capabilitiesIf you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
Most of the "bugs" were hardware/driver compatibility issues - not really bugs at all, and not really MS's fault either.
As an OS it's always been pretty sound.0 -

Why would you disable one of the main security features of the operating system?0 -
