cash back on mobiles

reading some of the other posts i thought i would share you my experance,i got a 3 phone from in house communications (on line) 9 months ago,12 m contract,9 months at 4.99,by cash back every 3rd month,1st time the cheque bounced!!,2nd time wrong amount,3rd they are denying they have received the bills even though the royal mail say it has been signed for!!!.any way i rqang 3 as i have been 10months in this contract and they offer their own deals now as they have had loads of complaints with phone companys cash back deals.i have a talk 600 plan with texts and its 12 month contract,but its half price at 15.00 but 3 take this off bill,no redemptionforms to fill,o k not as good as the 4.99 i was paying,but its gaurenteed

    Sorry to hear that. Can you not take them to the small claims court to recover your money?

    best bet would be to stick to the known players like cpw, e2save, mobileshop, etc.

  • i think it really depends,some smaller companies are good as well. i find cpw are really slow at paying. A good way to find out about a company is too phone up their support line before u buy and see how responsive they are.

    I'm looking at a deal with Mobileshop, 10 months Free line rental. Are they good at paying cashback? Anyone know who they are?
    ps, I have done a search on Google but I can't find if they are part of a large group.

    They have been mentioned many times on this board, do a search for them here! They are a reputable company and have been in the mobile game for a fair few years.

    It's incredibly easy to submit a small claims court claim online; it isn't very expensive and the costs are recoverable as part of the claim. You can get the court bailiffs to enforce the claim as well, when they lose the case in court (as they will).
