Evening ladies
Froddington well done on today hun and big hugs. It really does sound like you are suffering from anxiety and I agree I think you should revisit your GP. Maybe a different tablet would make you feel better. My Mum got knocked over and broke her foot about a year after Dad died. It was all too much for her and she ended up with 2 related problems - chronic pain and depression. There is a bit of research done but there is a link between the two in the respect that if you are injured when stressed the pain does not always heal. There are specific ADs for this. If I can help then please feel free to PM me. I hope you find some comfort in going to church tomorrow.
Serena you sound a little happier, it seems so odd to me that mother nature plans it that women have to deal with teens when approaching the menopause what sort of a joke is that!
Toots well done on starting the paperwork. One of the big things I've learnt since flying is that the jobs you have been putting off don't take as long as you thought and are often more enjoyable - I have a few of those to be tackled this school half term
I've been labelling uniform this evening, a bit more to do.
Tomorrow we have OH family coming so I need to get organised in the mornint - think I'll need to get up very early:
Wash garden toys and put away
make birthday cake
pick blackberries
Unpack 2 more boxes
water a few bits in front garden
pick tomatoes
make tomato soup
clean bathroom (put DS3 in the bath at this time too)
DH List
go to lidl
go to library
go to halfords
put phone shelf back
fix bike puncture
Right one more label and then bedtimeThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Toots scrap what's left of the list. Enjoy tomorrow and start again on MondayThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Valli - thanks for the subject list for filing - another tool for me to utilise!! Can I ask you - how long do you keep community charge stuff - do you treat it like a utility bill and bin it after a year?
And what about mortgage interest change notices - do I need to keep them once a new one comes in?
Toots xxPeace will be mine

Ohh I'm feeling so organised its scary :j
The house still ain't perfect probably won't ever be but at least I feel as though there is a plan.
I searched out the http://flylady.net/pages/begin_babysteps.asp website whilst I couldn't get on here and oh to my delight more hints and tips and printables. Feeling a new day dawning I set to shining my sink and its true I do now feel extremely possessive over my new clean sink - the OH nearly had his hands chopped off when he went to dump something in it
Onwards I went to purchase a beautiful pink A4 binder to become my control journal, I quite like the name it makes me feel as though when its a bit fuller I will finally have control - plus its pink :T :T :T Its just like going back to school with all my shiny new organising things, replensished cleaning stock...
The feeling of excitment swept over me and gratefulness to my wonderful neighbour led to me buying her a bunch of beautiful sunny flowers, and its true giving is far better than receiving she looked really shocked but happy :A
And I've done the whole bedtime routine, clothes are out ready for tomorrow, the sink is still shining the dish washer is filled and the surfaces are radiant by gum I really have achieved a lot today :T Thank you fly ladies you have inspired me long may this new found enthusiasm last:beer:0 -
Hi laura you have done really well and sound very organised already!! hope you enjoy being 'in control' with your new pink journal !!:D

Laura - I did exactly the same thing with going on the flylady website. It sort of scared me, but I'm definately going to start some of her ideas! I even told my Dad I'll get up early in the morning to clean the bathroom before i go out because my mum is coming home from holiday and we want the house to be clean and tidy for her.Chifundo Uzuri Siochain"All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost" - JRR Tolkien~

Thanks Toottifrootti anything pink just makes me smile. I bought some lush cleaning clothes with pink flowers on from Sainsburys in the anticipation that as they are so pretty I really will use them :-)
Carol I loved the website it inspired me and I'm shocked at how much the whole sink shining thing really does work on me pyscologically. Good luck with the bathroom in the morning.
Ohhh what a wonderful day I'm having....0 -

Not too bad today - feel like we're slowly getting there. Kids seemed bit grumpy today - not sure if they're just tired or ready to go back to school.
DS can't wait to pick his specs up next weekend - he kept telling everyone they were his 'Gok specs!' Right - feeling shattered so off to bed in a bit!
Night night0 -
Valli - I file by subject too. The only problem I have is that I also do this at work and my team sometimes have problems working out which subject I might possibly have filed something under...
Froddy - Dusty's dead right about the link between pain and depression. I'm a chronic pain sufferer, and sometimes find myself having to drag myself back from the edge of a depressive episode, as I can see them coming. Hopefully you'll find that going back to work helps. It does with me. Even after a week working from home I was reluctant to go back, as I was out of the habit, and I didn't have a good day on Thursday. I know that next week will be tough to begin with, but by the end of it I'll be back in workaholic hyperactive mode again  . Your head should help you readjust to the workplace, you should talk to your GP about more effective pain relief (ask about alternatives - I can't take many painkillers, so massage, hydrotherapy, visualisation and aromatherapy all play their part), and you should also try to work out what helps with the depression, whether its talking on this thread, going to church, keeping a diary, dancing, the gym, going to the pub with mates etc. And by the sounds of it, none of the other teachers posting here are very keen on doing their prep. Personally, I like a deadline to pass (or at least be very close!) before I actually do anthing about it  My current work list includes due diligence for an acquisition that should have been completed on Friday (they'll never know), a contract that is 13 weeks overdue (I only picked it up 2 weeks ago) and objectives for a 'new' starter who I've realised has completed his probationary period and has now started being annoying  Want to swap? :rotfl:
Dusty - if you don't get those garden toy clean tomrrow Pigpen will be after you with her duster... you promised they'd be done this weekend!
Pigpen - hope you've managed to have a shower and are back to normal colour! If your DD isn't keen on wearing her bras, maybe you should get her some vests to make it less obvious...
Toots - yes, its worth keeping your mortgage interest rate change notices, so when you check back on what you've spent you can see that your budgets were right. But it might be worth getting on a fixed rate to make it easier to budget.0 -
I shouldnt be allowed to surf the net as I find all sorts.
For all on Quidco they are runing a new competition (look under blogs) its the Quidclan, now there is allready an MSE clan but it is over the 250 needed to win a £5 play.com voucher (thats this weeks prize more to come over the next 3 weeks). So i have set up an MSE Old Stylers Quidclan in the hope that we may reach 250 members by the end of next week to all receive the voucher.
I am posting it here as this is mainly the thread which I am on, if anyone else posts elsewhere please mention it and is anyone aware if i could post it as a thread on MSE Old Style board, dont want to post if not allowed0
