This is frustrating.. I can't get my credit limit extended as I'm a student.. I wouldn't be able to apply for the new egg card anyway I doubt.. so even if they come back in stock I can't get one.. grr..

Now sold out at Dixons. At least we have until the end of the year to take advantage of t he rebate, if it is £100 not 100 euro :-0

do you still get the £100 off direct from canon voucher in with the 20d ?
as this was direct from canon not a master card offer.

    would that then be

    purchase price = £944.89
    less egg 10% = £94.49
    less mcard cash back £100 = £100.00
    less canon voucher £100 = £100.00

now that is a real bargain = £650.40

    woohoo !!

PCWorld has stock pick up at store but no egg discounts...... thats a good sign though for future stock levels for Currys.

The Nikon D50 gets a more favourable review over the Canon EOS 350D here :
    http://www.hansgate.co.uk/wallpapers/cameras/canon_350d_nikon_d50_review/index.htm

But its a bit like Coke or Pepsi. People are either Nikon or Canon fans...

Although the Nikon starts out at £100 cheaper. Does anyone know of any discounts or rebates or schemes that could reduce the price further?

i have recently joined Egg and the site is showing only 5% discount at Curry's not 10%
    any reason why?

Nikon D50 £390 on pricerunners cheapest dealer for next day free delivery. The review mentioned above certainly gives the impression its a better camera. Resolution is lower at 6mp though, and the image quality is lower, and the Canon can shoot at slower speeds ISO100 rather than the Nikons ISO200. But the Nikon has a better body - d'oh.
