What kind of things does he read then if he has never heard of fairy tales characters. Not all characters have to be disney. Are aware that sometimes the children watch video's at school for educational purposes or on wet play days or as special treats
I have no objection to school showing him films. I'd like to see him sit still through one though. Of course he's heard of fairy tale characters.

I was just looking for info about what to expect for my lad from school life and to make sure he was prepared. Thanks to everyone who's helped.

GR, do you know any of the other mums yet? I didn't before DD started school, but I've found the ones who have got older children in the same school to be a mine of information about the way things are done and I grill them senseless when we go to parties. Maybe when DS starts there next September I'll also be able to pass on some valuable information.

And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end

Not yet, but I've chatted to some of them and they seem very nice.

Sorry, Mrcow. I'm sorry I misunderstood you. :o

Look where the adult lunchbags are Gingham, they are plain without characters on.

IF you are wanting to take him to the cinema, do you have a vue cinema near you? Their kids am showings at w/ends and on w/days in hols are £1.50 per child and the accompanying adult is free. These are the ones I take Miss Spendless to, cos if she can't sit still it's only cost £1.50. My son couldn't sit still till a loooooong time after he'd started f-time school.

Can you get your whites, white? If he has white shirts as uniform. I can't I've boiled/bleached etc and they still look grubby. I've resorted to buying glo-white from the supermarket.

My husband is taking the day off work and we're going to go out and spoil the little one rotten. :j He's never had us all to himself before. (He used to sleep while the oldest was at preschool.)
