okay..today things have taken a new twist....
in post today is a letter from buccannan clark and wells stating that it's a formal demand for the £20-odd !!!! It states that Lowells know of no reason why I shouldn't pay up, but neither have they made any attempt to prove that I owe a non-existant amount (see below).
now who are bcw ?? In my original letter informing me of this non-existant debt, it was Lowells who had taken the account over from 3, and it was Mackenzie Hall who were supposedly to collect it
I wrote back to MH with the prove it letter in mid-dec, and copied it to Lowells and to 3, so where on earth have bcw now suddenly appeared from ??? I have to say, my blood is now boiling about this...
So, question is, where to take it from here ?? Not one of the companies has responded to show that I owe anyone anything...was thinking of writing back (to all FOUR companies now, not just the original three) to re-emphasise that I am asking for proof of the debt (which according to my experian report, does not even exist)... mrs G-J also came up with the excellent idea of writing to Martin via his LK spot with copies of all correspondance and asking him to investigate.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

I think you are doing the right thing G-J, have you contacted National debtline etc? for further advice? Someone there may know something.
Or PM Martin and team directly to see if they can help anyway.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hello Jack
Firstly, not everything will show on your credit report, the slightest missing letter, and it won't show, it will be there for creditors to see, but not visable to the consumer.
Providing you can show the paper trail from start to finish then let them sue you in court.
Remember the most important aspect of any debt
The onus is on them to prove you are liable for the debt.Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
10past - I'm a member of experian's credit expert service, and I have checked that the account in question was fully settled with no outstanding amount.....only 3 can report this, not me !! I'm going to have to ask them all again to prove the debt, but I can honestly say I don't think they legitimately can ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

If they can not prove the debt, then let them try taking you to court - the judge will have a field day.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
