I hope I'm wrong but it sounds like you are going to have the waste outlet lower than the waste pipe:eek:
Measure how far you need to drop it, stitch drill outside and bash a bigger hole inside, make good with sand and cement, job done 20 minutes, (including getting out ladders). You are using a shallow trap arnt you?
The hardest bit with DIY is getting started;)
Hi
You're not suggesting using a hammer and chisel are you? You'll have to get that past the Core Drill Police first.

I'm sure you would core it, so would I, (if I could find it in the van). Guessing your advice was aimed at someone who didnt have £500 worth of core drilling equipment, if I didn't have it I wouldn't go and hire it.Mine needed a new fan so that must be whats wrong with yours:D0

I hired a corer and drill it wasn't very expensive and for neatness and quickness as far as I was concerned it was worth every penny and when I took my time into considerationyou could say it actually save me money0

I took the bash through the wall approach, much easier than I thought it would be. Getting through the wooden skirting was the hardest bit. Bath is now in, panels line up ok, water drains ok, hot tap ok, cold tap, oh dear! This is leaking, the taps are a shower/mixer type, old telephone looking if you know what I mean. They are connected to the pipe by flexible hosing using compression joints. This bit is fine, the leak is coming from cold tap nut which allows the cold tap to pivot.
I would imagine it just needs tightening but gentle twisting with a spanner hasn't helped. What would be the best remedy.
OH is having bath at parent's tonight!
Taps are like these:

No idea. If so, yes, could need replacing. However, I'm not sure how to take these style of taps apart.0
