  • Just got out of my nice cold bath :)

After about 10 calls, the lettings agency decided to do something, someone is coming out to fix the boiler tommorrow between 10am and 2pm.
Feel much better now I know something will be done!
Just got to wait to get the british gas people to get there act together!

Also OH has just been contacted by an agency for a possible job offer back in manchester (where we own our house, and all our family live) to start in Jan, but we were planning on renewing his contract down here in jan, to run till July. It would be about two or three times the money, but atm he has job security down here. Plus I prefer the sunny south :)
Any thoughts on that also welcome!!

Things have certainly looked up since lunchtime but if you were in Manchester you wouldn't have had to have a cold bath, seeing as all your family live there. 1a_y_grin.gif

Well TBH Abbie at the end of the day it is obviously only a temporary measure at this house, and although it probably seems unbearable at the mo, in the grand scheme of things it's a short term blip. And I guess the idea behind the move is to make life better which it should do......eventually.

I have these problems and a lot more, in my own home, but don't own it and don't have a letting agency/landlord to nag either!!!! icon9.gif LOL I look on it as a long term (14 years) short term blip!!!! icon12.gif

Fraid I've never understood why Man U are taunted about their supporters location.

I just wonder if you should be listening to your fav music.....if you don't live in the town the band comes from

Trying to think of the word to use  Begins with a H

Music is a different issue altogether - there isn't an Oasis in Leeds just as there isn't a Kaiser Chiefs in Manchester. However, there are football clubs in Leeds and Manchester.

It will always be the case that successful teams collect fans from a broad geographical area - MU are the most recent example of sustained acheivement (although it's all a little shakey at the minute), before MU it was Liverpool. On top of this MU have a very efficient marketing machine promoting their brand image. Obviously, most fans who attend matches are from the local area. With such a large proportion of local people in one area there is likely to be a protective feeling amongst the supporters and it's a good stick to beat the opposition fans with!
