  • Is it gonna matter if i go to same garage that did it last year? As they will know it's 2 months overdue.

No it won't matter, for all they know it could have been off the road for the last two months.
I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?

doesnt matter at all just make sure its booked in

dh is an mot inspector and they get loads of people who forget, he gently reminds them of the consequences of driving without one (no insurance, points on licence and possibly a fine)

they do get calls from the police checking if the car they've stopped for no mot has been booked in with them to be tested. best one was a lad 30odd miles away who insisted he was booked in and on his way there despite being on the motorway heading away from where they're based!

Nope, none of their business, they are only paid to test your vehicle, full stop.;)
  • top tip, write the mot date on your calendar, also stick the sticker with the due date in the window

We have our first winner. It does not void the insurance and will not result in points on licence.
