hi all i put a claim in for reimbursement of ppi paid on a loan from picture finance, this was started in oct 2007,all letters of this site etc were sent then it went to the financial ombudsman, they received it in feb 2008,i was passed on to 3 different people within ombudsman who were dealing with the case,i received a letter stating picture should reimburse be,as i had a strong case, then on 14 aug 2008 i recieve a letter stating picture have basically gone bust and cant pay and stopped trading!!!now my claim goes to financial services compensation scheme, this is gonna start the process all over again and i was advised it would take 6-9months to get a decision if i will get anything back, will i get anything back and why has it took ombudsman so long??they must have an idea of a "struggling company"who may be in financial difficulty and may not be able to trade,or maybe im just too suspicious????????????????????????????????

Hi I have just put in a claim and was sent straight to the fscs and was told
that it would take 6 months or so, Picture have not been declared in default yet or so I believe .But if you have got a rightful claim the fscs should pay up but with limitations along the lines of the first £2000 and then a part of every other £100 but i'm not that clear on that part.

What Could They Have Done If They Knew They Were In Trouble? A Process Have To Be Gone Through..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

What does this mean if you have a secured loan with them???
  • I've just visited their website and it says it's 'under construction' and will relaunch next month - and that picture aren't accepting any new loans! Looks like something's happening - which is a bit of a worry as my wife has a loan with them... and it's in my name too!
Total debt as at Jul 2012: Too much!
