Are BG's allowed to reopen threads that have been locked by the Forum Team, add their own comments, and then lock them again?
Genuine question, just seems a tad unfair.
(I would have asked on the thread in question, but it has been locked again!)

I try and explain why I lock threads, might involve me unlocking a thread sometimes to do so.
some threads are locked to stop posts in them , mainly stickies , but may be opened for additional comments/updates and then closed
some threads are locked while they are under review by the abuse teamEx forum ambassador

Thanks Browntoa x
In this instance the thread was originally locked by the FT, then reopened by the BG to make a non-BG related comment. Just struck me that it is something that I have never seen a BG do before?Gone ... or have I?0 -
As always you can ofcourse report any post to the Abuse team who will review it just the same as any non BG post. Contrary to popular belief the forum team and the BGs are not the same people and they do read all complaints - they just might not have time to answer all complaints/queries...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Another thing to note is that a BG does not have to unlock a thread to reply on a locked thread on one of their boards.
It's quite possible for a BG to miss that a thread has been locked and click thebutton without realising that it is not displaying the
button.
Maybe that is what happened here?
I know it works, since I have used this to lock a thread first and then once locked reply with the reason why it was locked.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
