  • Thanks Stompa that's interesting.

This was a genuine mistake as I was unaware of any restrictions so I'm completely shocked.

The demand by the way has reached me in less than a week and it looks like a fixed camera above the entry/exit road.

My local Lidl has no parking restrictions. None of them in my town have any.
More and more companies not just parking are starting to get very aggressive now with fines.

p.s. BT are now getting really bad with huge bills for callouts even though your equipment is working but their lines are also working.
I'm getting wary now of DD.

Off topic I know but beware of car park charges.

I have just received a demand for £90 (£45 for early payment) for exceeding 1 hour 30 minutes in Farnham Lidl car park. The demand shows photographs of my car so I did not get a ticket at the time.

I only go to Lidl occasionally but spend quite a while when I do go and assumed it had free parking like other supermarkets. I'm sure I've parked there a similar length of time in the past so wonder if this is something new?

This has undone all the moneysaving from shopping there.

I wonder if its worth an appeal?

My local Lidl the parking is free, however one of the other Lidl stores in the area doesn't own their own car-park so you have to pay for parking. Not noticed any time limits on our local Lidl car park and I always check for even the smallest notice when I park anywhere.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!

Have Lidl stopped stocking their 99p 1kg boxes of cous cous or is their just a shortage in my area?

I noticed some in my Local Lidl the other day, though that's not to say it's not been discontinued, like the tuna, my local Lidl still had stock whilst another poster had noticed their local Lidl had ran out some time earlier, that was also discontinued.

I was told in-store a few lines have been discontinued.

Been into Lidl today and the 1Kg blue box of cous cous was still on sale at my local Lidl.

I asked in two different Lidls and they said we only have tuna in brine.Pity cos I like their tuna in oil can't remember if it's vegetable or sunflower.

Perhaps it depends on which part of the country you are in mabye stocks vary.

Morrison's have Tuna Steaks in Sunflower Oil.

Their own label at 66p or Glenryck for 67p which has 150g drained weight compared to 140g drained weight with the own label.

We bought some of the Glenryck Tuna, but not tried it yet as we still have several tins of the Lidl Tuna Steaks in sunflower oil.

I certainly will check in future. I think this must be a change at this particular store as I only visit every few months but like to look round the whole store so will have spent a similar length of time on previous visits. I last visited in June and before that in March.

I have now spoken to Lidl Customer Service who have said I should appeal to the car parking company (Athena) and Lidl will also appeal on my behalf.

Many thanks I'll go to them tomorrow.

    I'll buy both.

I had the same thing happen to me. I wrote to them asking for them to confirm who was driving the car (as apparently the contract to pay the car park charge is made with the driver and not the owner of the car). This was 6 months ago and they did not reply and have not pursued me. Worth a go! ;)

Bought a packet of crumpets from Lidl yesterday for 1st time. I love crumpets but to me these tasted a bit odd.
