Cheap and uncomfortable. A poor trade off. We got rid of ours within months.0

Hi,
Just to add another review/comment for anyone considering this. I was looking to get a new sofa quickly in time for a party as we didn't think the sun loungers we were using would be sufficient! Didn't realise that generally sofa delivery is very slow, even from IKEA where we were originally going to purchase from. Have had nightmares with their stock levels in the past so didn't chance it.
I typed in fast day delivery sofas and came across the nabru site. I normally do a lot of research before any purchase, particularly one this costly so had a look on the forums here. I was really pleased to discover that their showroom only turned out to be a couple of miles from us. Went for a visit, I can't say the staff were amazing but informative anyway and suppose it's better than the hard sell. We decided to go for the extra comfort seats (I think it worked out as about £40 extra) and also paid for assembly (another £40 but worth it I think from what I had read about people taking hours to do it, he was here only about half an hour).
I would recommend ordering the fabric samples as they do look totally different on the website and we changed our mind after visiting. We got a corner sofa with bed just over a month ago now and we're really happy with it. So comfy, and a great size, everyone that visits comments on how lovely it is.
After the assembly guy had gone I noticed a couple of dirty marks on one of the back covers (not great on the beige we went for) and contacted them, they sent out an additional cover the same day so aftersales has been really good for us. Bed has only been used once, mattress is very thin so I was concerned about that but my friend said it was really comfy, though she may have been being polite!0 -
Does anybody on here have experience of trying to obtain finance for a sofa using Nabru? Is it a relatively easy experience? Has the repayment period been a smooth ride?0

Thinking about buying a NABRU sofa...
Does anyone have a view on whether the optional 'soft seating' is worth the extra investment?
Does anyone have experience of the covers fitting properly? (some reviewers have said they are a poor fit)0 -
So pleased to find this thread. We have a very narrow hall and very narrow doors and simply cannot get a conventional sofa now its time to replace the threadbare old Ikea one. My main concern about getting a Narbru is that it will be uncomfortable (current one is awful and need an upgrade!) but everyone here seems pleased. Also a bit worried it might be ugly/plain/cheap looking but doesn't seem to be too much to worry about on that front either. So just the assembly to tackle! Just waiting to hear back from them about a visit to the showroom so fingers crossed we will have a comfy, good lookinf front room within weeks! Thanks all. x0

We've had a 3 seater Nabru Lear sofa for a number of years now and are still very pleased with it - we had the charcoal mock suede and it still looks good, apart from a few child related stains! We take the covers off and run through the washing machine if needed. It has even survived being dismantled and moved to a new home without too much hassle.
We are now looking at turning it into a sofa bed, and Nabru say they can fit the sofa bed mechanism to it. However, the mattress it comes with is only 6cm foam, and we would like something a bit more. I'd be very happy to purchase elsewhere a better quality thicker mattress, but can anyone with a Nabru sofa bed advise whether say, a 10cm deep mattress would fold into the sofa mechanism, or is 6cm all it has space for?
thanks0 -
When it comes to sofa beds nabru only supply the one type of mattress which is 6cm thick, the reason for this is because the way it folds up three times and sits in the base of the sofa. Unfortunately if there was a thicker mattress then the seats on top will not sit right. The best solution for this would be to put a mattress topper on which will give the bed that extra comfort but this may need to be removed when the bed is folded away.0

Yes I have piping and mine is only on the cushions and seating. I've also got two armchairs I placed on a separate order and they are the same. I'm very happy with mine. Yes you do need to sometimes arrange the seating to bring them back in line but same with any sofa you need to plump them. don't be afraid to push them into the covers tight and tie them tight. If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0

I have read every post on the forum lol having done so I think I'll go for the guys assembling it for me and the soft seating web thing! I'm going to go design my small corner settee now and place the order... just keeping my fingers crossed that it will all go ok and it will be as comfy and long lasting as people say; I have the swatch of fabrics so hope my choice will stand up to RextheKitty treating it with some respect! sounds like the covers can come off for machine washing so that's useful; looking forward to posting a positive experience0

Do you have an update on the sofa as we are thinking of one as we have an awkward L shape and this fits the bill with losing an arm at one end. Maybe need to look at the showroom first.0
