I was wondering how all the people that have had these for a while are getting on with them now? I was thinking of using Nabru when we move into our new house?0

That good to hear :j anyone else?0 -
We bought 5 years ago, corner self design with sofabed. Still almost as good as new, still love it, still as comfortable as anything in John Lewis and still no sagging. Taking it with us when we let out this basement. Buying another cheaper one to replace the one we are taking from them of course.
Only minus points - we couldnt self assemble, there were pieces missing and it was too complicated because of the corner sofabed. They brought the missing parts and assembled it for us, the following day (a Saturday night) in a very short space of time which we would always do again, and infact have asked them if this is feasible to move the current one. The bed is comfy (it is a single) and my 80 year old mum sleeps on it when she visits (she loves it too). The fabric is MAX with a very open looking weave, but the cat has never yet managed to pull any thread at all it is so tough. Black cat hairs are invisible on dark brown. As others have said, I wouldn't even think of going elsewhere for a sofa ever again. The designer used to work for a company called Slot Furniture I think and he perfected what they started with Nabru. I think they went under. Good on him to take the plunge.0 -
So hubby put the corner sofa together today in 2 hours. I'm trying to figure out if the sofa is uncomfortable! Our old sofa was a 10 year old Argos cheapie which was rather saggy. I'm finding it difficult to get comfy while sitting with the laptop, I'm feeling a lot of discomfort in my neck; the back cushions sit lower than the tops of my shoulders. I'm not convinced with the dimensions of the sofa, density of the foam, and the angle of the backs!!!
So those who have had their sofa for a while, please give me some comfort that it will get more comfortable!Nuts just take up space where chocolate ought to be.0 -
The foam doesn't really change density and they are more firm than a lot of manufacturers but u do get used to it! I put cushions on the top of the back cushions to support my neck when I am sprawled out. LolIf you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0

Just got back from the Nabru showroom in Uxbridge and was so impressed by them! The solid seats are firmer (especially with firmer materials such as the faux leather) but my parents liked these (easier for them to get up from (!)) but I liked the springy bottoms (are an extra but not much!)! Anyone worried about buying a sofa without being able to visit dont be - they really are so good! So impressed I ordered straight away and I could have had it on Tuesday for no extra cost (ordered on Sunday!)! Amazing company!
Haven't actually got it yet but this time next week I'll be reclining on my gorgeous new corner sofa bed and I can't wait!
Well done Nabru!0 -
I discovered Nabru after searching endlessly for a new sofa bed and 3-seater to replace my tatty old suite. The problem I was having was with the unavailability of anything in a colour that suited the room. I wanted a forest green colour but trying to find anything suitable in fabric (I'm not a fan of leather) was proving a nightmare.
Not put off by the self-assembly aspect, I have just ordered a Sker 2-seater sofa bed and matching 3-seater in 'Dundee Green' for just over £700 - Bargain. Could have done with a matching footstool as well, but my existing one isn't in bad nick compared to the sofas and it has a large storage compartment which the Nabru one doesn't, so figure I'll just get some upholstery cleaner to work on it and see how it looks.
Anyway, they're being delivered just before the Easter weekend when I've got some spare time to assemble it and dispose of the old suite, so I'll pop back on here with my review once I have one to write! The only thing concerning me now is the fact that I just opted for the bog-standard seating - not 'soft' as has been recommended on here. I prefer a firm seat, so I'm sure it won't be a huge problem, but am curious as to whether or not they would supply me with the webbed seating at a later date if I find it to be too hard on the buttocks! :undecided I might just give them a call, but is the standard seating really that uncomfortable?Proud to finally be out of debt!
DEBT FREE DATE: December 2008 :j...And still going!0 -
Standard seating is very firm it is firm with the webbing as it is but otherwise there is only to foam and the board between you.If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0

Even though there is 6" thickness for the seat foam, it loses its firmness due to the body temperature and ends up pretty much like sitting on a wooden plank. Again, as there is no slope towards the rear, you tend to slip from the sofa unless you have your leg raised by a chaise or something. You can see the photos of the sofa seat here at modularsofa.blogspot.co.uk/2011/05/nabru-sofa-review.html (I am a new user and unable to put the actual link.
) and see clearly how flat the sofa seat really is. As mentioned by someone, the cover doesn't keep its position. Things I love about it are : It looks good and the cushions are excellent. It is easy to plush the cushion and has got excellent storage.
