First things first, just how serious is this relationship? The two of them need to have a conversation about this and be honest with eachother. Presumably this was an unplanned pregnancy? If so then lets not assume that the birds are singing and that there are roses round the door. This lad may well be in a major flap at this sudden responsibility which he should shoulder (not us,the taxpayer)
Dont assume that the council will wave a magic wand and make it alright either. Housing is scarce and even if she is offered something,it may not be very nice! OTOH,she doesnt need housing as she already has housing doesnt she? She is living with the father of her child, which is good enough and as it should be.
Lastly, its not your problem. If she is old enough to live with her boyfriend,go to college/uni and get pregnant, then she is old enough to sort herself out. I would strongly advise you to keep your distance with regard to housing and finance. It isnt your problem to fix. youve done your bit. No doubt the proud father will be working on solutions.0 -

In this situation, ALL options should be considered and many people would think that bringing a child into this world without being able to support and provide for it was not the same thing as "getting your life the way you want it"! No wonder there are so many young girls on benefits with babies these days, with attitudes like yours!
I would assume that if it hasn't been mentioned then it's because it's been discounted out of hand, and before you mention the young girls on benefits line and make me out to be the sort of person who would have kids to get a council house, please not I'm 27, so not exactly a baby myself, have my own house with my partner, we're a 2 salary household expecting our first child, and I haven't claimed a single benefit in my life. You however are clearly the sort of person that thinks that an abortion is a quick and easy fix it which means that this girl can just get on with her life and wash her hands of the whole thing. The fact that you are so clearly deluded in regards to the emotional and mental impact that having an abortion can wreak on a person makes me think that you are clearly not wiser, as your name suggests, and very clearly not female.0 -
As she wants to go to college, get a job, AND have a baby, why doesn't she make an appointment with Connexions as well as the CAB? http://www.connexions-direct.com/
They're specifically set up to deal with 13 to 19 year olds to help them with life decisions. My bro works for them, and has helped many pregnant teenagers get through college, stay in work, find housing etc...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
