Do you mean the Non Extra card thats free? NUS Democracy?
That is dependent on your university offering it, not all do even if they are part of the NUS. You would have to ask them if they did it I don't think there is a website it apply for one online.0 -
The rail thing is a "young persons" card, so the student card doesn't actually help with this at all.
A student card *can* help with travel longer distances - STA travel do (i think) discounted prices for students travelling...And there's ofter on-campus places do similar stuff for students...0 -

There isn't really a comprehensive one. You can go on https://www.nusextra.co.uk to find some, but that is nowhere near a full list of everywhere. Places like HMV, Zavvi, Topshop, Burton etc all do student discount but they are not listed on that site.
There is a thread at the top of this forum which lists student discounts that people have found. Some of these won't exist anymore as some of the posts are quite old: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2050
So really it is just a case of looking out for signs in shops or just asking when you go to pay for something.0 -
I have bought the NUS card. So far it has got me 5% off in Amazon and I paid less to watch a movie in Cineworld.0
