Most odd. I've never had a paper bill from them - and a charge for getting one has never been mentioned.
    the charge is called
    charges, credits and adjustments. £1.50
    I made 3 calls
which they charged me £1.09 for
    + £0.45 vat
    total cost of bill £3.04
now this has been happening since we got the bills back in February on and off my next bill was april and so on...but now I am getting one a month ith this same charge on so I am off
free evening and weekend calls it is not anymore...
and for £5 amonth I can have unlimited calls with sky...
I finally got through to speak to a real person today only to be told either put it in writing or email us...
which I have already done last month but obviously the staff don't give a damn anymore if there off anyway...
so I am going to ring bt and have my number changed that'll certainly do it...oh and yes I have cancelled the dd...
it was good while it lasted...
I have been with them for ages...
    2 years or more...
so I suppose everything good has to end sometime...

I only started getting the paper bills in february...

    Plans for 2009

Never had a paper bill from them either. In fact I usually don't have a bill at all from them as I never owe them anything.

However last bill I did have was just last month for 9p.
  • Are ppl going to be using BT for weekend and evening calls once they cancel Primus?

I'm a bit confused at how, exactly, Primus moving to India will affect users?

If Primus are doing what it says on the tin for you ,the fact they have an Indian Call Centre should make no difference to your Free,No Contract, Evening and Weekend 01/02/03 Geographical Calls, and capped mobile calls if you have them.

Moving to BT will still involve you in having to speak to an Indian Call Centre, and your need to sign a 12 month rolling contract to get free calls, and mobile calls will probaly be dearer.
  • Has anyone had to ring the new Indian call centre yet? I've tried several times since Monday. On one occasion I waited in a queue for nearly 45 mins before finally giving up. Needless to say I was rather angry by that stage!

Tonight I finally got through. The rep on the other end was so distant I had extreme difficult even hearing him. (You'd have thought the one thing they could have got right no matter where they are based is the telecommunications!)

I asked a basic question about my CPS which he couldn't answer so he put me on hold for another 5 mins before coming back and saying he had tried to ask a manager but they were dealing with another call.

He offered to call me back within 30 mins. I knew it wouldn't happen but I was sick of waiting so I agreed. Well that was nearly 5 hours ago and suprise suprise the call back never came.

I still haven't resolved the issue and I don't really know where to go from here. I think I'll try an email.

I can honestly say that whilst Indian call centres usually tend to frustrate me this was without doubt my worst experience to date. The guys and girls up in Scotland were so knowledgeable and friendly and I nearly always got through to someone in a matter of seconds.

Primus have really shot themselves on the foot on this one.

I'd be interested to hear other people's experiences.
  • Just got my lastest Primus bill today...total mess.... I've been charged for over £5.00 worth of calls that should be free. My mother and a friend of mine are also with Primus and their bills are both wrong as well although both by lass that £1.

Spent over 30 mins of the phone to India tonight trying in vain to explain their error. Got absolutely nowhere.

Rep ended up promising me that a manager would call me back tomorrow. Yeah right, I got promised I'd get a call back within 30 mins last Friday and I'm still waiting for that one.

So what can I do to get my bill corrected???

    Sounds familar.

I have left Primus, but i still have 2 bills from them, as they are so far behind.

Should have been charged for broadband till the 3rd Oct, but they have charged me till the 14th, a simple question you would think of "why have i been overcharged" , after 20 minutes of getting nowhere, i was promised a call back, 2 days later i am still waiting!

I am really glad, that i am no longer with them, roll on, next months last bill from them.

Should be my last bill with Primus, and even after email after email, and a call to their CS that promised a callback, the billing is still wrong!

Last month, should have been my last for line rental charges, this was a full month, as i changed back to BT on the 14th Nov, and Primus billing period is the 14-14th.

Broadband should have been till the 3rd Oct, the date that o2 took over, however Primus decided to bill for the whole month, so i was billed to the 14th Oct.

20 minutes on the phone, and the overseas call centre, couldn't understand a simple question of "why have i been billed for a service till the 14th Oct, that Primus didn't supply after the 3rd October", i was promised a callback, that never came.

I sent an email, detailling this, was sent a reply, saying "will look into it", they still took the incorrect money out the bank, and no-one has phoned or emailled back.

Sent another email on Xmas Eve, saying what i was owed, and why, (including the previous emails that i had sent), and also stating what i owed, no reply, and yet another incorrect bill, with broadband now being charged up to 14th Nov on it!

Best bit of the lot, on the 19th November, i sent an email, stating what i owed, and that there was 2 months of call package costs, 1 month of line rental, and 20 days of broadband, how much information do Primus need, to actually get anything right?

Considering that i have had problem after problem with them, and i have already sent a letter to their legal department, that ended up, with getting out of my contract, then you would have thought, that my last set of bills, would have been correct, i even did try and get one final bill, but that seemed to be too hard for them, and even though the change of supplier dates of 3rd Oct and 14th Nov, is well past, and i am still paying Primus bills, kind of shows, how much of a shambles this company has become.

Done a bit of googling, and found a phone number, that is supposed to belong to their Legal Department, so will give that a go, otherwise, it is going to be yet another threatening letter.

One thing i am certain of, is that the Primus direct debit, will be getting closed, if i have no luck on the phone, as they certainly aint getting £23, when i only owe £5.
