Hello.I'm new to this site so please be gentle.
How can you tell which NSS, starting with 99... non Tesco own, coupons are ok to use at Tesco.
It appears that they will ALL scan, but some Tesco can't get money back on, like books and some newspaper ones...is there a master list somewhere (other than the first page?)0 -
have just called the freephone number and asked the question do ur stores accept the moc off the internet , he said yes some stores may put a limit on to how much they will take , then i explained what happened last week , he then changed hes answer to NO NO , you HAVE to buy the product , this has been going on for a few months now,,Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0

Presumably, you are referring to the first page of the "no-chat" thread, which links to this thread. If not.... have a look on there.....the stores policies are explained in the first few posts.....just click on the highlighted part of this post.
AFAIK Tesco gets their books from a different source and so cannot redeem the coupons against them, but coupons/vouchers for newspapers are ok to use.
If the voucher states that it can only be used in another store (Asda, for example), although the coupon may scan, Tesco obviously cannot claim back the money.
You may be able to get a few pennies off your bill in the short term but you will probably hasten the tightening up of coupon policy in your local store.
Hope this helps :beer:It's nice to be nice .....
You HAVE checked google before asking, haven't you?;)

Unfortunately, this is more common than you would expect.
The Customer "services" number will advise different things each time you phone them....they don't make the policies and apparently are kept out of the loop when changes do occasionally happen.
The store CAN refuse the internet coupons "at the manager's" discretion. However, you probably didn't speak with THE manager. Next time you are in store, politely ask to see THE manager (or write to her/him) explaining that you are aware of the company policy......take a copy from the no-chat thread.....and ask if there are any change to the policy sanctioned by her/him at store level.
At least this way you will know the score for that particular store, and you can quote her/him if s/he allows coupons.
Coupon-mad has detailed her/his info on this...try searching through those for more detail..... I found them very helpful when starting out! It's nice to be nice .....

Yes, i must be mixing up the two lots of posts. Do u have to sign in every time u change between posts or have i set things up wrongly? I am not trying to save a few pennies in the short term that is why I am trying to find out which ones I should not use. Anyone else got anything to add to that?
Nikkit, which Tesco was that, I have never had a problem unless it was internet vouchers, then it can be hit and miss if they are taken, that's why I am trying to find out whicj ones are ok...good luck0 -

Hi Couponclever,
You could bookmark both threads and no you don't have to sign-in again. For Tesco's use the NSS non store specific coupons on the first page of the no chat thread
