O.M.G. Ginger, that means there's two of them...wonder why the babies died though. Maybe the mice were bitten...where do you live? I'm not moving anywhere near! No offence. :rotfl::eek:

You edited about being two as I was writing...btw aren't the females larger than the males in spider world?

I've met one - it had huge black fangs (not orange like in the linked photo forum) - so I'm guessing Mrs Boris was guarding the eggs that night.......If she's bigger than the one I've seen, then she can stay hidden. :o
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

Honestly Ginger that is my worst nightmare. You are one brave lady. I'd have sprayed deadly chemicals in there by now and kept the door shut!

Nope. the tiddly black beetle-y things are beetles doing a 'dying swan' impression around the bathroom, I've seen a few of them around the rest of the house as well - all dead. I've got no idea where they're coming from at all

Awwe bless you, seriously are you ok about all this, I'm not sure what those beetle things could be, but at least they are dead/dying. Are the mice just a one off so to speak? I had a mouse and used a humane trap. xxx

edit, you can use lemon oil/spray to discourage spiders if you can't use more chemically stuff. I also use citronella. I have a dog and fish so have to be careful.
  • Mrs Woodlouseeatingspider is more in proportion. But moves like one of those foreigner beasties. I like spiders, just not close enough to have a reasonable opportunity of touching me.

I think that if you put them over the road, they won't come back.

But the spiders from across the road that your neighbours are putting on your side need somewhere to live. And there are vacancieson your house.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Yeah, like I say, I'm okay with spiders normally, I just let them do their 'thing' around the house. It's just Mr & Mrs Woodlouse-Spider look toxic, are thicker than the usual British spiders (they're not all 'legs') are faster and are capable of causing allergic reactions. :undecided

Mice? I didn't know I had a problem until last week. I've had two crawling out and carking it in my back bedroom with no obvious injuries to explain their sudden deaths. :undecided
