We need to take action esp in these hard times........Financial experts are predicting that we are going to be in a recession by early next year!! I think some newspapers would have a field day with this!!!
I agree, maybe it's only a matter of time before everyone becomes aware of what the supermarkets are up to

  • Its happening everyhwere though!

i went to get fish and chips for lunch today. Where we live mini meals have been £1.00 for years now. They have just increased the price to £1.30 (which i know is stillv cheap compared to many other aeas!) BUT the portions are a LOT smaller! This shops has put signs up everywhere saying prices have had to increase as wholesale prices are up, but how can u justify a price increase AND a portion decrease?? what are we paying the extra for ?

We could volunteer to periodotically look at items when shopping and compile a list for Martins team to look at and verify!! I am certainly up for it

    Hi peeps

I didn't expect such a reaction, therefore, based on the comments on this thread, I just called Tesco "Customer Service" the chap checked on there policy and said "The item was not an overcharge" but classed as an error, I confirmed the weight issue, and again he stated, according to their policy, weight issue is not an overcharge, it's an error, he was reading the text from a script.

I gave up with him, and hung up!!

You could use the "Alert" button, explain the reason why you're bringing it to their attention.
