Anyone bought from prepay mania?

My daughter has asked for a Sony Ericsson W580i on Orange PAYG for her birthday (Thurs) and I have reserved one at Argos for £89.99.
I have seen it for £79.99 complete with £10 top up, free delivery and a bluetooth headset from Prepay Mania but have read mixed reviews about this site, according to Kelkoo there are 12 store reviews and 2 are horrendous, I am probably being suspicious but the great reviews sound like they have been written by the same person. On hot uk deals someone mentioned they were a terrible company.
So I will probably buy from Argos, at least I will have it from somewhere reputable, but I still wonder if I am doing the right thing, has anyone bought from this other company?
Thanks

My son has had one since March. Already had a faulty screen repair, now the keypad has cracked on 4 keys so back for repair again. Its a common fault that i was told had been rectified but it hasn't. Lovely looking phone but i wouldn't recommend it0

Well I got her the phone from Argos, it was the one she really wanted but I also took out the years accidental cover just in case she has a problem not covered by the normal garrantee

Better late than never.....(in case this benefits anyone else). I ordered a Samsung B5702 from prepaymania.
My shopping experience with prepaymania.co.uk was terrible, the worst ever.
Having placed my order early Friday afternoon, I received an email on Monday morning which read as follows:
"Please can you advise a land line contact number so that we may call you to confirm some details of your order? If you are unable to provide a landline number - we may not be able to proceed with the order."
I had previously provided them with my mobile number, and the billing address was the same as the delivery address, so why the delay? And why could they not have just called me!?!?
I was abroad whilst placing the order and since I wasn't going to be near my landline until Wednesday I was relying on my mobile in case of issues.
I didn't see this email until Monday evening wherein I replied with my landline number. They did not contact me back all day and the next day (Wednesday) I called them in the afternoon. I spoke to a female representative who did not apologise for the not responding for a day and a half and after repeating my web order details and asking me to confirm my full name and address said she would call me back on my landline "in a few minutes, MAYBE". She didn't and after 30 minutes I called her back again. She made no real apology for not calling me back and then called me back on the landline. She then repeated my web order details back to me and asked me to confirm my full name and address...AGAIN.
I asked if the phone could be delivered by Friday (in two days time) or before because I was going abroad again on Sunday. She made no effort to confirm this and said I should ring back tomorrow to find out if the phone had been despatched and get the tracking number. She told me that the phone should be sent 'next day' as it was a high value item. On Thursday I tried to call them over the course of half an hour but no-one picked up the phone.
Late Thursday I received an email saying that the phone had been despatched and was scheduled for delivery on Monday, which was NOT a 'next day' service.
Finally, my phone arrived, more than a week after placing the order.
If you want to deal with a company that has total disregard for its customers and whose employees are rude, and want to be messed about and be treated like dirt, then prepaymania.co.uk is the one for you.0 -
In Response to Harq, I have recently ordered and received a Sony Ericsson W595. I ordered it at 10ish on Monday evening, and the phone arrived on the Wednesday morning, Royal Mail Signed For. I used a mobile number as my contact address. I didn't have any problems.
I am only writing this reply as I think most people who read this, checking to see if Prepaymania.co.uk is a real site or how good they are, do need to know that someone else out there has had good service from them!0 -

had purchased from Prepay and I my experience was good. I received the phone on time. I'm just thankful for Prepay, had it been with other companies, I'm very sure I'd be ripped off.0 -
I just bought a Samsung Tocco lite mobile for my daughters birthday with some accessories from prepaymania. When I received it the box had a new seal over an old one, so I looked in the box and everything had been previously opened, no new seal over lcd screen just finger prints -The extra accessories I had ordered had both been opened and one looked used - I was so discusted that I am sending it back - It does not state on the site that they are seconds or refurbished - I thought I was buying a brand new phone I would never have bought it otherwise.:mad:0

In a word-don't. Bought a Samsung B2100 in February-didn't work properly-poor reception/people couldn't hear me/poor battery life. Dutifully took it to Approved Repairer-Carphone Warehouse. They lost the phone/got the wrong paperwork/couldn't mend it and it all culminated in my being physically threatened by a CPW store manager
So Prepaymania agreed to take the phone back and replace it. So far so good-although had to wait ages for the 'replacement'. Box was broken, battery cover had obviously been put back badly, no plastic cover on screen. In other words a used phone. Have had to escalate complaint to Amazon. I wish I'd never bought the b----thing.0
