Sometimes it works the other way (Click here).
Overweight chavs!!!
"During the sentencing Patricia Bates, 41, who was sat in a wheelchair in the court dock, collapsed with breathing problems had was taken for a check-up at the town’s Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital a check up."
I bet she faked that cos she was !!!!!!!! herself.0 -
At the end of the day that couple got caught through greed. They could've just taken a couple of thousand and then stopped but they carried on too long!
It looks like they spent most of the money they got on FOOD!!!
Don't grow up. Its a trap!
Peace, love and labradors!0 -
i have also been over-charged nearly every week in various supermarkets. Morrisons in our area refund you the whole amount you paid for the over-charged item meaning you get it for free!0

A couple of weeks ago I was overcharged at my local Asda By a massive £294.50  , I couldn't believe it when the cashier told me my bill was over £300 when I'd only bought about £30 worth of stuff, she was quite serious about it when she told me the amount to pay and I said I don't think so, she said that's what it says on the till! It turns out that a Quiche I had bought which had been reduced had rung up as this huge amount, I think it priced the item using the barcode!!I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

I worked with someone who did that once. She knew she made a mistake at the time. It was funny seeing her though almost charge £3,000,000 for a bottle of water!0 -
Shows how stores vary by area. Our Asda and Tesco give you so much hassle faffing around for ages it almost isn't worth it - no double money or gift card here. On the other hand - if Sainsburys make an error they sort it out in a flash, complete with apology.
Sorry, but they're wrong!
For Tesco.... Look for a blue A5 sized card at the till or a large blue board on the wall behind the desk at customer services. About 1/2 way down they'll be a sentence along the lines of "if we charge you more than the price on the shelf or the package, we will refund double the difference." You may well have to ask for this, indeed insist, as some customer service workers act as if the refund is coming out of their pockets personally. They'll try all sorts of excuses for why your case doesn't count, but just keep quoting that board! Have a good look next time you're in the queue!
If you go to the Grabbit board on Sassy shopping, there's a whole thread devoted to how you can make this work in your favour! The 1st post explains the system clearly.

Fow Asda.... (rarely use this personally as not one nearby.) Apparently other posters have printed a copy of the "If you're overcharged we'll give you a £2 giftcard per item," part of their customer service policy from their website and carry it with them to produce if necessary.
Reckon you should be writing stiff letters to their head offices if both stores are consistently failing to uphold the policies.
As far as the long delays in customer services go, I appreciate how irritating this can be, particularly when it's their fault! Have to admit I was once so grumpy after a long wait to claim my refund, once the transaction was over I then asked for a refund on my ice-cream that had begun to defrost as I waited! I actually got it too, they must have sensed my raging hormones!Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
Whilst I generally agree with you it is not always that easy. If you have young children with you, have a disability etc. So it seems those most in need are often the one's who potentially loose out the most...Checking your receipts is standard if you don't you deserve to lose your money0 -

Almost all companies record staff voids, exchanges & refunds. If they are high the staff may be suspected of fiddling things. The staff know this so will often worry about refunding stuff incase their questioned at a later point.0 -
I can appreciate this point, but surely as only certain members of staff are authorised to give refunds, it'll only be these staff who show up on such records? Such a system is, therefore, already flawed.Almost all companies record staff voids, exchanges & refunds. If they are high the staff may be suspected of fiddling things. The staff know this so will often worry about refunding stuff incase their questioned at a later point.Worse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -
Abit of a scam in local Wilcos, a basket of facial wipes with the sign saying BOGOF for £2.95 but they were already packaged in packs of 2 but turns out if you buy 2 of these packs it works out as £5.90, spoke to customer service and the young lady said it's not the 1st time that someone has complainerd about the mis-leading signs....managed to get my money back and they had the same items in poundland.I hate migraines.0
