 Wow I must really get off this site! DW and WM been on already.
Sorted battery operated smoke alarms yesterday (thanks to this site/ the OP of this thread). The wired in one seems to be faulty. Rather than faff, I thought it best to have the battery operated ones while the other one is out of action.
Right, bathroom + spare room to be sorted today.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Hi folks
Sorry for lacking in stuff, but right now I have too much going on, and will have for the next 6 weeks or so, so I will be popping in and out! (quite at the back) some days / weeks I might be here more than others.
Pigpen I'll try to keep up with the lists or make my own up, but my house is so much cleaner since I joined this tread. A BIG thank you to you for all the work you put into the lists.

pigpen - huge hugs, you didn't deserve that! Hope you have a lovely morning having your nails done!
valli and mo4 - I needed to go to Boots yesterday!;)I have no spare cash this month, and have been really careful not to set foot in the place, but made the mistake of looking at the thread! I had the excuse of having some photos done (loads of £2 vouchers) and came home with a few other bits. There are very few good reductions in our main branch, but I may try the TS glitch, and quite fancy some No7 as well. I use TD, and managed to grab a stack very cheaply when they were clearing the old packaging, but I'm sure I can add to the stash! There are good reductions on the Rose and Lavender scented range that they usually keep near the Aromatherapy range, can't remember the name, but good for adding to boxes.
polkadot - don't worry in the slightest about the occasional moan on here, we all do it from time to time, and the support here is fantastic! If your front garden is sunny, then it would be wonderful for herbs, and you could also add a tub for salad leaves. Some of these will grow so fast that you can pick baby leaves to add to a salad in three weeks!
Ok, the kids can do their own room today, I'll just do the bedlinen. I have decluttered the hall, stairs, and the living room - again - and printed off the whole list thinking I will do a bit of catching up today as it is grey and rainy. I really ought to get out and see some bathroom suppliers to get quotes for doing the cloakroom.
I spent some time this morning looking on the UCAS site to see what courses are available that might interest DS1 and what he needs to get onto them, hoping that it would help motivate him. Looks quite promising, so I'll look again with him next week, and the we'll send off for some prospectuses. I heard from him yesterday, he as just completing his first duty stint, and seemed to be having a good time. Hope the weather holds! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

I think the mess is all glasses and bin fodder.. it is all going in the bin irrespective! I'm going to eat a whole sticky toffee cheesecake to myself followed by a tub of flake ice cream.. then my bottle of vodka on the top! lol.
Going to catch up on facebook.. have a cuppa and a pee and then make a start on the mess.. armed with binbags. I'm going to go through it one room at a time I think..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I need to finish sewing baby bag for friend in South Africa this weekend.
Her DH is flying back there on 2 September so he is coming round next
week to pick it up.
Pigpen lots of love to you-its not nice to end a day like that
Valli It was you talking about Jo'burg that did it. I had a tiny two bed
garden cottage in a setup where there were 7 other cottages. The
communal garden was huge and no one used it so I used to use all
my spare time to get out there and "make pretty" I used to take DS out
in his walking ring or put him in a paddle pool next to me and work while
I talked away to him. It helped me cope with being a single mum and
get over spending weekends on my own. I think my soul misses the soil.
Oh, and your comment to MOF made me really feel little-I was born in '79
so I guess I really AM the baby
So off I go to put the new linen on the bed-see you later

Morning all
Pigpen, I can sympathise, I've got one of those type of blokes too, everything is everyone elses fault. Methinks he's going through his change because he's become very moody lately, either that or he's gone off me (I'm not bothered which :rotfl:). Hope the clearing up doesn't take too long
MO4, xmas lists?
Nicki, good luck with the house hunting
Tooty, :rotfl: thanks for the laugh
Right, after all that painting yesterday I can barely move my arms, so I've decided I'm going to pick my mum up at 12pm and go sofa hunting, missed the Land of Leather sale yesterdaybut we'll see what else we can find. Ideally want to find something that can be delivered before the end of next week when we've got guests coming.
Then when I get back I shall be putting the kitchen back together (as I didn't do it yesterday!) and getting the lounge ready for painting next week
Oh and by the way, whilst I was cooking dinner last night, I shined my sink:D:D
This thread is very motivating
Speak to you all later xDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0
