Yup-and now Im going to have to get cracking on those kitchen curtains Ive been putting off because the back of the house is built in such a way that if they look diagonally out of their bathroom they can watch me work at the kitchen sink:eek:

What might be worse is what you can see from your kitchen into their bathroom!

  • ooh, just wanted to say to Bonsai Babe that I was in this situation and I was told there were 5 lists and when a house was available they went to the appropriate list, in turn, one by one. The next house that came up they went to the next list. So if you're nearly top on one list, it won't be long before you get a house cos you get extra points added to your score each month if you are homeless. Having different lists means that if someone with other urgent needs joins the list after you, they won't necessarily jump in ahead of you on your list. Don't know if the system has changed though since I was in that situ...

and good luck with your move mrs v

Dustykitten Im guessing you answer this alot but since I missed it, would you mind telling me why LO has orthotics? And where you are? Im thinking about the shoe shop-I have cerebral palsy and live in trainers because my orthotics are so built up I cant find other shoes that will "keep" the orthotics.

Pooh sorry about DS-you'll find somewhere for him to stay

All that said, my playdate cancelled:( And whats worse is she waited until I got to our meeting place. She did her shopping with me but said she would have to go as a mum from her LO's school called this morning wanting a playdate today. She thought it better to cancel our playdate than turn down the other as she is just getting to know the other mum and her daughter is at school with her and they may be able to share school runs.
Im dissappointed as I was really looking forward to it but I didnt want to say so (considering I can see her often) and then I feel bad for posting it but I just wanted to tell someone I R SAD  I feel a bit petty but Im saying it anyway.

To make it worse, on the way there my ankle gave in under me whilst I was crossing the street and I ended up on my bum in the middle of it  Thankfully there were no cars coming and I was able to "control my fall" so Ds buggy didnt fall over too (thats happened before).

I bought some extra storage jars for all the different flours we've been accumulating (a friend left the country and I inherited her Panny:j )
So I think Ill go and make myself comfie on the kitchen floor and get those done-and then Ill start sifting through the flylady emails-they've been coming in and Ive been glancing at them and moving them to a folder.

I think thats enough griping for one day-between this and the lot next door Ill be glad to see my bed tonight.

polkadot I have orthotics too and it is really difficult to find anything other than trainers to wear. When I went to a wedding last year I was desperate not to wear trainers..I have a lovely little Clarks shop that I went to and the lady found me flat shoes that the insole comes out. I got two pairs of flat sandals in blue and pink so I felt dressy, sort of Mary Jane shoes but prettier. They are not 100% comfortable but I managed to wear them all day.

I then sold the pink ones on e bay. My best sale so far!!

Can I join you feeling sad. I don't really know why I feel this way today but I do. I am sorry you fell over. Its horrible when you do it in public too isn't it? My friend cancelled too today, she decided I wasn't up to walking around the shops with her. I would have liked to have tried.

Ok so I managed to S &S the bathroom and wash the bathroom floor. Hoovered the landing and bedrooms. Hung up a load of washing and put the next load in. Where oh where does it all come from?

Finally cleared away the lunch stuff and put several bits n bobs back where they belong.

    Anyone fancy a HHC 2.15 - 2.45pm?

Oooh that gets my goat-Dont decide how much I can do for me!!!! I carried a kid-delivered a kid. Even though I dont always feel up to it my house mostly looks tidier than most people I know and I at least TRY even if Im having a bad day. Not even my DH tells me what I can cope with-his response when I told him....You silly girl,Ill bring you home some arnica, whats for dinner? I love you:j

And thats all I need to keep me strong:)

You know, Im sorry I never joined this thread earlier-Ive only been on two days and I already feel like my old self again.
