DD has tidied her bedroom - just needs hoovering now. Her clothes need sorting and putting away but I told her to just put them on her bed and I would put them away. It obviously sunk in when I wouldn't let her have anything while we out yesterday because she hadn't got any pocket money! She wants to buy some clothes for her doll when we got to Matalan.
Going to get dressed now and then I'll go and get my new hoover and make a start.
Catch you later

I've been lurking for a few days, as I was in a a mega grouchy mood, and have spent as much time as possible in the garden or out on the allotment until it wore off!
I did the kitchen to Level three yesterday, and will whizz round the livingroom in a minute, as I have some friends coming over this afternoon - the ones I have gardened for over the last five years, and it's more likely they'll notice the state of the garden than the sittingroom! They particularly want to visit the allotment - bearing in mind that I have been away for two weeks and then last week it rained a lot - I've been down there the last four days, and it's still only halfway decent. Oh, well.
Hugs to those who need one
:hello:hi to michelle! heavens, what on earth did they spend all the money on??
sexymouse - it took me seven minutes yesterday to wash my kitchen floor with a sponge and Flash on hands and knees - get on with it girl!!:D And wow, fantastic news about the holiday!! I'll be in touch.
bonsibabe, lovely to hear that you're safely back - the house thing will work out in time.
dusty - thankyou for kind comment re DS1's results - yes, it is a bit hard reading that 97% passed, when you're one of the 3% that didn't! I get very cross about the comments that A levels are getting easier too - because they are modular, then you have the chance to retake sections to improve your overall grade, but the students I know all work hard, and the courses are quite demanding. He's feeling better about it now. We are looking at possible university courses so that he knows what he has to aim for, and then I think he'll be more motivated. It isn't just a question of motivation though, he hasn't found it easy to plan, concentrate, etc since the illness and there isn't very much that we can do about that. He did get a grade C on the ICT paper that was the actual exam (rather than coursework) which was very encouraging, as I think that shows he is capable of doing the work.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
This is mostly aimed at the Scottish Flyladies, do you know of anyone who would be willing to adopt a beautiful rabbit:( I will probably need to rehome her soon as hubbys allergy is getting worse. I dont want to advertise her to just anyone as i want her well looked after. She was my birthday present so i'm not very happy:o Do you think i could rehome him instead? The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

I know, but i would like to know where she is going. I'm plying hubby with anti histamines to try and help but i think i'm fighting a losing battle. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Well ladies, you did indeed motivate me to mop my kitchen floor last night, and it didn't take as long as I thought it would after all. First I tried to spray the mop with my diluted vinegar spray, but that only managed to do about half the floor before it ran out of oomph, so then I washed off all of the rubbish collected on the mop, and made sure the cloth part was soaked through, and then reattached it to the mop in the kitchen and did the whole kitchen. Unfortunately I had to get a glass of water when the floor was still wet, so I had to use a cloth this morning to wash off my grubby prints.
Anyway, that's done now, so don't have to do that for another week. Will be off to find the list for today now, cos I was busy flying when it went up last night.
Anyone up for a HHC 10.15-10.45?

I don't know the nature of your son's illness but were the school aware and did they submit a dispensation form to the exam board ?We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0 -
