G&B have you got any aloe vera that you can put on the burn? I would possibly ring NHS Direct and see what they advise as I wouldn't want to tell you the wrong thing - I know that on tv they sometimes cover burns with clingfilm to prevent infection, but don't really know if that would be appropriate.
In that HHC I managed to empty the DW and reload it, put most of my FP away (I broke the bit on the lid that clips under the main bit of the machine, trying to get the lid back on so that I could store it in it's box, and I've only had it a few weeks), washed and chopped the spring onions that were cluttering up the side and put them in a box in the freezer, hoovered the floor and the sides, and that's it.
Now at least I can get to the surfaces to wipe them.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Thanks all for the welcome.
I'm off to my sisters now as she is moving house at the end of the week and I've been roped in to help her pack / sort out junk - why is it always so much easier when it's someone elses mess????
The answer to that question is emotional - it's not your junk, you didn't pay for it so you have no emotional or guilt (because you paid a lot) attachment to it. Not my answer - this is a well known decluttering problem. Then (see Kim & Aggie's How Clean...) it all gets way to much and you don''t even start the journey.
So we solve by taking small steps (take Babysteps - see Flylady)
I personally found that I was TEACHING my kids emotional attachment to their stuff...'you can't throw/give that away because X gave it to you'. So I changed tack and now tell them that if they don't want it or use it it can go - bin if broken; recycle where possible; charity shop if fit to sell or even offer it on Freecycle. If it isn't beautiful, or functional, or used it has no place in your home. I accept gifts beautifully and enthusiastically. I always appreciate the thought but might not always keep the gift for ever. My house just is not big enough for this.
Welcome all new Flyladies  Hope you all have a good, productive week! Don't wear yourselves out and when you strike off what you have done focus on just that - look at what you HAVE achieved and not at what is not done. If, by the end of the week one 'family' room (kitchen/lounge/dining room) is gleaming and fragrant you will feel SO GOOD. If your ironing pile is smaller...or all gone - whatever you have achieved you will have FLOWN.
And I would like to take this opportunity to thank Pigpen for keeping us all on our toes and those of you who have so many problems and yet are here offering support, and fun. I love this thread!:TDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

In fact there was a (quite aggressive in some parts) thread going a couple of weeks back about large families - you'll see, if you want to, that my comments were either factual or (not like me at all) off topic!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I can imagine some of the unasked for/unwelcome comments you have received from people over the years.
I used to get a few when my youngest 3 were small. I had 3 children under the age of 4 at one point. Comments such as 'don't you have central heating in your house then? etc, etc. Used to drive me potty. And what right do people have to make remarks like that straight to your face. It's damned right rude. Sorry rant over!!0 -
