    Why are the executive paying out £1000 to people who have been flooded .

    £1000 would not cover the amount off damage and surely they should have insurance .

    £1000 on its own is not a lot but the total figure will be close to 1million.

    Yet we are being told we will have to pay water rates because there is no money to upgrade the water system .

    My daughter witnessed a family whos neighbours were flooded, pouring buckets of water into their front hall in Neilsbrook Randalstown. She has it videoed on her mobile phone. I may name and shame or stick the video on youtube and send the link to ABC

    Isn't a large part of the problem caused by building on flood planes though? If so, I don't see why insurance companies should be left footing the bill every year. If the planning office and the builders were made to pay towards the compensation perhaps they'd stop building in such stupid places (seriously, has anyone seen what they've done to Edenderry Village :()
