I made a post in my blog about the traffic queues just moving further down the road to York Street even though the M1/Westlink work was supposed to remove the problems!
Even during one wet rush hour going home last week I was queueing from York Street to Broadway so it clear the works have not worked!! (excude the pun).
Should be fun heading into work tomorrow :hello:v :money:0 -
My friends off the Dublin Rd In antrim were flooded. 6 Mile water burst its banks coz the pumping station further up stream quit. Apparently cattle were seen floating down to the lough. When I was down today to help the stench of home heating oil was overpowering, about 3 or 4 houses lost their oil. An absolute mess. On my road outside Crumlin the neighbours were out digging channels at the roadside to try and divert the water into the farmers fields. My septic tank was almost flowing over, but thank god the rain stopped and within an hour it had dropped again.0

I was collecting my brother from the airport on Saturday and coming from lisburn in a mini the White Mountain Road was in passable. Made my way through stoneyford to glenavy (just) before getting to nutts corner and to the airport. Chose the same route on the way back but when I got to glenavy thats where we got stopped. Every road in and out seemed to be flooded. I spent two hours up going up and down roads/lanes and rivers....
We were driving up one small lane in desperation and the field beside us literally became a river as we watched. Very !!!!!!! scary, as we had to go back down to where it was to get back on a main road.
Thankfully a couple of tractors cleared the main road to moira and we crawled to the motorway.
Worst of it all - I had no signal for the most part of it and my wife, grandparents and a heap of family members were seriously panicking by the time I got in touch.David James aint got nothing on me0 -
Driving through Ahoghill today and all the flood water is away but they're still working hard in Costcutters cleaning up the mess. Bound to be some while before they get around to opening again.0

Friday? that's soon. There was talk on the news that normal houses won't be suitable for living until six months, so how can businesses get back to normal so quick?
