  • 6% i was having kittens over lloyds saying they were going to charge us 1.6% interest.

Was sorley tempted to tell the man from LLoyds last week that I was just waiting for Gordon Brown to bail me out just has he had done to Lloyds but thought better given the man was a million miles away in a different country I doubt he would of understood.

Makes my payment worth about 9p a month on £5000, so theres nothing to lose by CCA request. If they dont play ball I'll ask if they can be taken out of the dmp and try and get them to Court, I know I can win that one.

  • Read the post I hadn't read on the 1st credit thread. They really do seem a nasty little bunch. Wonder how they are getting on recruiting people.

Bet theres plenty of unemployed 'bankers' needing a 'professional' career!

Well I'm off to watch 'Little Dorrit' on BBC....for once they are broadcasting in a way that I can watch it ( Sun and the Tues and Thurs like soap opera ) having to be up at midnight:eek:

  • Well made soup so thats one item crossed of my list.

Took gas and elec reading and we have managed to cut down since last week. Not using the TD unless absolutley nesscesary (sp) and not using the convector heater. Seems to be working.

CCCS monthly statement through this morning. Need to check the balances on this compared to statements as I think there may be a diff on some of them. Another thing to put on my list.

Pepe I watched Little Dorrit too it was quite good but i got side tracked half way through and didn't get the bit where the old man was talking to someone else and Sue Johnstone caught him and he went mad at her. Who was he talking too?

  • Can't beleive it's almost 2 years since we started this journey.

I would love to say we are debt free but were not although we owe much less than we did.

We have sold our house, are in rented and much much happier than we have been for some time. We have money in the bank but this will be used for a deposit if and when we decide to buy again.

I have decided to restart my diary as I need to be really focused as I have let things slide and there is a possibility our income may be reduced soon (our choice).

So where are we debt wise. Well after having CCCA'd those that wouldn't accept our F&F we are back to paying 2 of them as they have produced a CCA.

So Link Balance £5k paying £136 a month
Cap Quest (Old Cap1 debt) balance £2580.27 paying £80 a month.

Barclaycard who never defaulted me I am paying £40 a month on a balance of £1650.

So my plan for this diary is really to note my spends and keep me on track for NSD.

Funny reading over my old diary, life has changed so much since then.

Hello LFTS! Big changes then, but you sound positive about it which is great.

Me? I took our freinds 1st Credit to the Financial Ombudsman and got £100 Compensation due to their abusive and threatening calls ( 'borrow money to pay US!', that one), they are still trying all sorts of shenanigans but still fail to produce a CCA. Currently trying it on with a 'reconstituted copy', which is cr*p, how can you reconstitute from fresh air???....Orange Juice from Concentrate is 'reconstituted' but at least it contains oranges.
Oh well, keep trying. Have sent then the links so that they can download their own copy of the Consumer Credit Act and the OFT Guidelines as they dont seem to have them:D

Overall everything is good and the end is beginning to be a bit nigh with only 34 Mortgage payments left. Keep in touch.

  • Hi Pepe although I have not been posting I read the daily chat every day. Well £100 is better than nothing. 1st credit had 2 of our debts we settled a good F&F with one but they wouldn't do the same on the other. We CCA'd them on this one and we haven't heard a peep from them in over 5 months (however I have a funny feeling we may be hearing from them soon).

Well to day was def not a NSD Kids uniforms needed bought so that was £83. Then had to get shopping as no food so that was £73.

Posted Chq to link to restart our payments.

If they come at you with a reconstituted Copy, PM me ( in case I miss it on your Diary, and we can get them sorted. I've not paid since last October.
