  • Enjoy your weekend Doon the farm.

Well another NSD for me actually need every day till wednesday to be NSD as the only money in the account is to do for our gas/elec bill due on monday.

Have not meal planned for what seems ages but the freezer is full it's just lots of odds and ends so we will be having some weird dinners this week. OH working late so kids having rice and sausage rolls and I am having a cheese toastie with colslaw and tomatoes. Need to make sure we dont need petrol either till money goes in he account. OH bikes to work anyway (he loves biking even in the rain) and I have no reason to go out for the next few days so should be okay. Started my Xmas list and have got lots of ideas for homemade presents to bulk out our bought gifts. This will be the first xmas ever no credit is being used:eek: but we will be fine.

Heating is also on as I am feeling poorly today very sore throat.

  • Pepe OH has all the right gear for his bike. I for one have not ridden a bike for years I have no interest what so ever in biking. OH has done for years he and his friends will often just go off for the day cycling and I don't see him for hours.

My head is buzzing I started a thread about LLoyds CCA reply. Fermi has given me a great letter to send but I thought I would take some time to read through the act just incase Lloyds call me and question my letter. I think I have got my head around the section Lloyds quote and I think they must have their own made up copy cause I can't find the bit that states the regulations do not require us to send you a photocopy of the form which was signed, bunch of halfwits they are.

Pepe I have been enjoying the daily thread with all your posts.

  • Well just had a huge argument with Lloyds TSB. Got their "solicitors" letter today so I called the number on it, it took me through to one of their foreign call centres. Guy told me that they are not accepting my DMP I said how can you not accept it you told me on Saturday that you hadn't received our I&E. He said we have so you must pay more.

So anyway I said well actually the account is in dispute you have failed to provide a copy of my CCA the guy started shouting and I mean shouting at me saying the account was not in dispute and I will pay then he said take us to court go on (i had not mentioned anything about court) so i very firmly and loudly told him to not speak to me like that. I started firing off quotes from certain sections of the CCA (glad i took the time to read it) he soon changed his tune told me that within a month they will sell debt on and that my proposed ammounts would be accepted then he told me to disregard any further letters and wished me a good day. to be honest he had no idea about the CCA but I think when I started quoting it he maybe realised I knew what i was talking about. Anyway letter is going off tomorrow that Fermi provided I have not been out to do it yet.

Actually felt good giving the guy at Lloyds what for but it is a concern that Llloyds send out official looking solicitors letters but when you call the number on it it takes you outwith the UK and you speak to someone who has no idea about legislation in this country.

I'm having fun and games with 1st credit , detailed on the First Credit Debt Collection thread. They try such sneaky ways to you to admit something or pay them..two can play at that.

Got two days off on thurs and fri which I'd forgotten about. think I'll go to the Malverns and do them North to South and back again. 30 miles'ish so just about rightfor two days.

This being separated from he OH for two weeeks is great for weighht loss, apart from the weekend when we had a party at the farm! Took all day Sunday to shift hangover ( home distilled, Bosnian Vodka! Seeme to wreck all short-terrm memory oooohhh)

  • Not posted in a few days. Have really fallen off the wagon so to speak.

Not kept a note of spending or anything. It all happened when i realised that our car payment and Council Tax were due out 3 days before OH wages were going into the bank so I had to cancel these DD I can pay them over the phone as soon as OH gets paid. This is the first month it has happened and it has P**sed me off. I really thought I had everything sorted.

Next month OH and I have decided that all money for our DD will be kept in the account and anything left will be withdrawn and we will only use cash see if this helps. I know we can afford our bills its just that by the time we get to the 20th their aint much left and his wages have always gone in the day the two last DD are due out just this month the dates don't match.

Anyway Pepe off to read the 1st credit thread have read it but not for a few days. Citi statement came in the other day still no interest or charges on it and so far no indication if they are going to sell us on.

    Hi LFTS,
Nice to see you back gain. Without boasting I am rather proud of my 'amended' 1st Credit website.

Dont feel guilty about falling -off. If it wasn't for 1st Cretins I'd have nobody to play with either...I said it would get boring once the dmp is underway.

Barclaycard have taken over Morgan Stanley/Goldfish and they are now charging me 6%!! So, as they've probably lost my CCA in the move, I've CCA req'd them, gits!
