My Long and Winding Debt Journey
Comments
-
Afternoon.
Well GE Money have sold my Debs Card onto CL Finance Limited and have told us to continue paying the agreed ammount. So thats not .oo bad I suppose.
Pepe i agree with you 100% my SIL is a single parent (by choice) and although works knows exactly how much overtime she can do before it affects her benefits, she get free prescriptions, reduced rent, CT, and if anything need doing in her house she gets the council in to do it for free. OH parents think we should feel sorry for her as she is on her own but funny how she is the one always out on a Saturday night. Perhaps I should throw OH out for a while at least until i can get free insulation.
I don't mean to have a go at single parents as i do beleive that benefits should be given to people who are in need and lots of people are single parents through no fault of their ownbut too many people work the system and think it is acceptable to do so.
Sorry rant over.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Hi LFTS,
A good rant does the world of good!
My one is why the hell are the Govt guaranteeing money to people who chose to invest their money OUTSIDE of the UK market purely for personal gain when they should be providing cash for Mortgage lending so that the poor sods who are coming out of fixed deals ( or trying to move house cos family is expanding etc ) dont get screwed by the Banks on a highrate just totry and grab back some of the losses that they caused themselves in the first place! AAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHH!!!
Why dont they just draw a line and start again, tell all the banks to settle their loans to eachother and those that have REALLY screwed up...get rid!!
Thats better.
Speak to you soon,
Pepe:D stay wonky

well, 1st credit have stuck me with a Statutory Demand. This is because they are trying to frighten me into giving them a voluntary Charge on the house without going to Court for a CCJ, so I've sent a CCA request and NOT expecting to see a result as its a Citi debt.#
I wish I could get this lot in front of a Judge.
Anyway, stuff 'em, just had a lovely 12 mile walk along the Ridgeway and THATS what life is about.:D stay wonky

Pepe that awful that they are trying to get you to voluntary let them put a charging order on your house. Citi called OH the other day but they just advised him that he would need to increase his payments soon or they would default. So far no sign of them selling it on but I am sure it won't be too long till they do and no doub it will be to 1st credit and then we will CCA them.
We received a rather serious letter from MBNA re OH account this morning, first time Sherrif Officers have been mentioned. He called them and they said that by law they had to send these letters but it will be another few months before they do default us and then sell us on so the girl said to just ignore and continue to pay what we can. So just going to file that letter away although may look at CCA them incase they do proceed with court action it is a very old credit card approx 8 years old so may not have one.
Glad you enjoyed your walk.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Hi LFTS,
Tanks for support ref 1sr Credit, spoken to CCCS and it is more of a 'scarer' than an actual Court document ( have a look at Debtman20007 thread for the full story ).
On MBNA, they have been just about THE best to deal with, I owe them £8500ish, and have kept them informed. they do default, but they have to so that your account is moved to the collection section that can authorise charge and interest free for life....which is what I now have with them. Oh yes, forgot....I also have to make the payments each month!!
OH is 'farm-sitting' for freinds for two weeks ( 18 miniature donkeys, 30-odd chickens, 6 terriers and about 100 ducks and 2 bad tempered swans :rotfl: ) so I've got to feed myself...help!!!:D stay wonky

not been on for a few days kids are a bit poorly so its been a lzy few days.
No news on the DMP front. Beef caserole in the slow cooker for today.
Pepe MBNA have actually been okay with us too even RMA that called as a few times on their behalf were okay too.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
I've CCA'd 1st Cretins ref Citi, talking to more and more people about this lot and it seems that the main reasn tht Citi shovel their debt mountain to DCA's is that they know the situation with their CCA's so take the write off early.
Sending off copies of all the unanswered correspondence, from me TO 1st Cr, to the OFT to bck up my Complaint with them and form a new Complaint, to the FSA and to the relevant Trading Standards Office ( got to find out if thats my local one or the one where 1st Crudit have their slimy little lair.
as we've said before LFTS, keep full records of evr bit of paper. If people phone you, write down what they say, confirm it BACK to them as an e-mail or letter.....evry little helps ( as Tossco say )
Still trying to feed myself! Sausage sarnies last night, lol and tonight is baked 'totties ' ( I remembered ) with BBQ ribs....and some veggies I suppose. Oh, and beer too.:D stay wonky

Today is another NSD looks like I may make it to my goal of 10 this month.February 2013 NSD - 40 -
Hi LFTS,
The baked tottie was brilliant, I refuse to use a microwave for spuds!! An hour and a half..lovely crispy outside and fluffy inside. Got some mega cheap bbq spare ribs from one of the butchers I deliver to to go with and then cleared the bottom of the fridge of veggies.
No, my Citi card was always one, however if yours is an old Associates card then thats prob good news for no CCA if it comes to it:T
Stopped on way home for printer catridges..... £32, aye caramba! and the chip shop was next door, I was cold, and weak and now I've got to go walk it off!:D stay wonky
