Having the money available is not the point.
The point is to live within your £400.

If you give up on the 18th of the month then you've not tried hard enough.:rotfl:0 -

ummm - but what happened to the other £18??

After the peal last night, one of the ringers who is visiting from London, asked me if I could give him a lift back to Blackburn where he is staying with another ringer who wasn't ringing last night.
Keeping up?
I was the only person going remotely near BB so I couldn't say no could I? That meant that the fumes I was driving on, weren't enough!
Peal Fee: £3
Diesel:£15 - should see me to the end of the week.
He did buy me a drink in the pub, thereby saving me £2.50NIL ILLEGITIMUS CARBORUNDUM!Nov Grocery Challenge: £0.00 / £150.00

I don't believe it!
Just lost a filling AND cracked a tooth on a piece of peach stone. It feels expensive AND i have a loathing of dentistry that stretches back to childhood. The mere thought sends me nauseous.
What am I going to do - alas and alack, lawks a mercy and all that!

dearest Strumpet, you'll have to get it sorted out or it'll be very painful one way or another. It's definitely not stylish to have a poultice attached to your face....Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Agree you have to bite the bullet on that one (:o oops - sorry - bad pun!).
I avoided dentists successfully for 10 years after a particularly nasty root canal and ended up having to have a stack of stuff done last year.... toothache is horrid - get it sorted! (and next time just chew the peach stuff off the stone - stones not for eating...:D:rotfl:)0 -
Strumpet sorry to hear about your tooth but you really ought to go to the dentist - I know you hate them I do to but still go and I have had loads of work done on my teeth (I have nice teeth now):D
Look, I know you are moneysaving and all that but did you really have to chew on the peach stone to get the last little bits off?

How's your tooth feeling today? Any idea how much it'll cost?

No pain at all, which is bad because that means I'll keep putting it off.
The bad thing is that I actually have to FIND a dentist before I can go!
Still, there's one down the road so I'll have to gird up my loins and go and get it done.
I know you all speak sense - thanks for your support.
Strumpet + Dentist = Trauma!
on a separate issue, the £400 challenge is officially dead. Not pleased but I did try! Next month is going to be even harder as lodger moves out next week. But OH owes me £200 so that will help.
Not feeling particularly ebullient today!
