...and you didn't ask them to scan it?

Spotted the last one in Dixon's Victoria Station. Queue was too long at lunchtime to bother waiting for them to check the price, so left it until 4:30 this afternoon. In that remaining 3 hours it had been sold - thanks to the OP anyway, I'll continue my quest to find one.

Bought one today and found it had been reduced to £26.99! Very pleased - although OH isn't happy that I flicked the channels on Sky+ - not realising it had been paused for a few mins. Staying out the way for 10 mins.

For those who still want one there are plenty of them still out there in Dixons (et al) BUT very few stores have them left on display.

To find one, visit a DSG store at random (Currys, Dixons etc.), and ask them to check if they have any stock of code "786023".

If they can't locate one in their store, they get on screen a list of the stock status in surrounding stores and should be able to point you in the correct direction. Once in the correct store ask them to check on their computer, then in their store room if you can't find it on display.

I was given a list of around 7 stores with stock within 15 miles, and bought 1 of the remaining 3 from Dixons in Woking. Sadly paid £29.97 not £26.99! Other stores with stock from memory included Putney, Richmond, Wimbledon etc.

    HTH - Rufus.

I have had mine for about a month and I agree that the configuration can take a while to get absolutely right. However, considering what you have to pay for a OFA device, this is an absolute bargain if you can find one at £29.99. I paid £49 form CCL and thought it was brilliant value so this is dirt cheap.

Trust me, buy one, bear with it and you won't regret it!

    OFA? What does this mean?

When I bought one in Dixons the staff planned to buy the rest of them to sell on ebay! They may not last long.

I just managed to get the last 3 from the Eastleigh (Hampshire) branch, even though one of them had been reserved by a memebr of Dixons staff from another branch. It would appear from calling around that most branches had been originally allocated a maximum of 3. I had the 3 from Winchester last week. I also tried Southampton today, who said they also had 3, but then couldnt find them - luckily for me they telephoned me to let me know this before i set off to but them !! Thanks again to the OP for this excellent find.
