do you think YMC????
just a thought have you been to your local PO to see if they have anything awaiting collection for you, this has happened to me before i have gone in with the card that has been left and he comes out with a dozen parcels that i have had no cards for!!! worth a try when you are passing??0 -
In that case I will enter myself!
The shop is as follows.
Ruby and Millie Eye set.
Reduced from £12 to £6.
Used a pinky so I paid £1 and got a new till spit and a new pinky.
Cash paid out £1.00.
Total saved £11.00
And I got 24 Advantage points too!
You shouldn't have got new till spits paying with a pinky hon - must have been something the SA did when she overrode the till iyswim? The points earned tells me she just put it thro as £6 cash.......0 -

I agree with most of what you said, but for me, I just don't like buying stuff I don't need to 'hide' a glitch. Takes all of the money saving out of it. Right now I've pretty much stocked up on everything but still want to get a great deal. If that means organising the shops to the least possible amount (even 1p) and only buying 'glitchy' things then that's what I will do. Besides, the SA can see the value of things she's scanning, unless you got loads of extra stuff then she'd still see the haircare products have gone through for next to nothing.
Mr B knows what he's doing, and knows about this thread, so if he wanted it to stop he would have made the vouchers beep. This isn't like an actual error in the tills like the NC bag was, it's just boots has put out vouchers at the same time as an offer. So it is legitimate (well apart from the 'not to be used in conjunction with any offer' rule which we know is there to be brokenThey obviously want to get rid of this long hair stuff, they've been doing free vouchers for it for ages, so let's celebrate mr B's generosity!
p.s. This is in no way regarding the mitchum vouchers, but that's a whole different issue. As the vouchers aren't mr B's he can't 'stop' this glitch, so someone abusing it wouldn't ruin it for everyone else (well, unless they clear the shelves). They would be in danger of getting themselves into trouble, of course, but that is their decision. Sorry to be argumentative, just my thoughts on the matter.
By all means Palice get a bargain, but what I was actually pointing out that imho it is better to combine a glitch with shop you need, as opposed to taking 6 items to the till and paying 6p - you point out that it is legitimate - except for the 'not to be used in conjunction with any other offer' rule - this is what I was trying to highlight. Like I said, occasional users of this thread may see a post and not know they are actually breaking T&Cs which could lead to them having their boots card suspended....yes, it probably won't happen but that doesn't mean it can't. Neither does it mean that just because the offer is working atm, that it might be taken off because of people abusing it. I'm all for a bargain, and I'm all for getting a good glitch now and again..but I'm also not the type of person to abuse a glitch for the sake of abusing a glitch. I thought this should be pointed out to new and occasional bootsers.
Also as highlighted in Jellybaby's post, people abusing glitches (mitchum in this case) CAN ruin it for everyone - by boots refusing to accept these vouchers in the future. As you point out, its everyone's decision on what they choose to do, and I'm all for people making their own choices, I just believe they should be informed choices (regarding new bootsers, or occasional ones).Treasurer and Co Founder of - The Smile It Won't Hurt Club
