Probably time for me to tuck in too! BF went up around 3/4 hour ago so will have to sneak up quietly....
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out

Oh dear... we filthy compers are upsetting folk again!

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1069177

People have no idea how many people actually enter these type of comps, never mind this forum, but general public, and all the other forums (that block search results coming up on them ;) )

If you're not in it - as the saying goes!

*phew* it's taken me ages to catch up on the I won forum & I am about 270 comps behind right now

Got knocked a bit sideways on Wednesday as I went back into work (after being off ill since Friday) & we had an emergency meeting. Really weird as I had to send my delegates home at 4pm & we were so far behind as a manager had been covering me & had to attend an emergency meeting on the Tuesday afternoon so they had gone at 4pm then too.

Turns out this meeting was something called an 'At Risk Meeting'. Apparently, I'm now at risk of redundancy :( As a department we need to lose 1 at manager level (out of 3) & 2 of us trainers (out of 10). I'm devastated. I really enjoy my job & even though I knew things were slow (we train mortgage consultants for a large company that spans the UK) I was hoping we could keep busy with field training the existing consultants.

The thing that is getting to me though is that although I know the criteria which will be used to pick who is made redundant, the official notification won't be happening until somewhere during w/c 15th Sept! I'm all on edge already & feel like I'll snap into pieces by then with worry & lack of sleep (it's doing wonders for my diet though ). BF is still job hunting so we live on just my salary, I really don't know what we'll do if I am made redundant as I worked out my figures (just in case) & I'd get £990 redundancy pay, which is the statutory minumum apparently.

I'm swinging from worried sick to hoping it won't be me as I do work really hard & others slack off but then life isn't always fair.... then swing around to 'I'll be alright, it will be someone else' back to worried sick again!

Throw me a bottle of Baileys & I'll swing back to fine(ish) again soon! :o

I hope all works out in Your favour!! bit of coincidence actually because the exact same thing has happened to my OH this week, he too won't find out till w/c 15th Sept... Its a huge worry isn't it. My OH is probably the hardest working in his team so were hoping he is safe, but knowing our luck at the moment the worst will happen :( I'm trying not to think about it but I think I was awake most of last night because of worry.

Fingers crossed all goes well for you!!
Thanks to everyone that posts :T:money:

I feel your pain! He isn't a trainer is he as that sounds very coincidental! I'll spare a thought for you & OH each time I have a worried thought about me :D I have so many fingers & toes crossed at the moment, it's getting hard to walk, type etc :rotfl:

Hey VelvetGlove & xoxlauraxox I hope everything works out ok for you both... will be thinking about you in the next few weeks. This happened at my work about 18 months ago and while I wasn't directly affected it did mean many of my colleagues were in your position and it wasn't nice.

Am watching handball on telly - huge in Europe apparently but nothing here - looks like good fun. Bit of a dilemma for later... Olympic closing ceremony and European Grand Prix on at the same time... can I watch both I wonder??!! :)
Life is all about the journey.
