Slow Cooker Puddings with own sauce??

Options
Has anyone got a slow cooker recipe for those yummy sort of puddings that make their own sauce? I've done these in the oven and mic, but I'm wondering if I can use the SC.

The sort I mean are like a sponge topping that rises above the liquid that then forms into a fudgy sauce underneath it.

Can't see anything like this in the recipe collection, and - would rather use a tried and trusted recipe than trawl the big american sites.

I use an old Keith Floyd recipe fabby choc pudding that is a big favourite in our family, but I'd like to try a lemony one too....

I wish I had a lemony one to give you.

    Not that I would...

    ..at least...

..not 'til after you'd posted the chocolate one :)

I will try to find the book it's in, and post for you all! Just don't hold your breath - I've not done it for ages, so have to hunt for the book. (That's why I didn't post already.)

It is a bit strange, a sponge with no eggs in and you pour a large amount of hot water over the sponge, b4 cooking - looks like it will never work, but it does! so I have to get the recipe right for you. :D

OK, I'll get off here now (should have done that ages ago...) and try to find it.

I dont think so shes not exactly the most moneysaving person hence the (grr) but I expect it could be adapted. At a guess for a pud I would do 5 hours on low or 2 hours on high.

    Not exactly?!??!?!?

    I'll say so!

She once advised that the toasting grill in the oven should be thoroughly heated before making toast and so should be left full on for half an hour...

..er, yes Delia, of course Delia... right after I win the lottery :)

Hope it tastes as good as it sounds. Seems like it might be quite a nice site too.
